Leaving this week, will be
Nelly Furtado
Next week's theme is based on covers, and will probably be based on a "classic" artist such as one you would find on American Idol. The artist will be announced tomorrow. The performances will be up on Sunday Night. Have a good weekend!

Well people are definitely going to get fired up now. This week's theme, of all covers has been decided through a random draw, out of other noted "classic" artists, between artists like Rod Stewart, Don Henley, Hall and Oates, Prince, and the artist for the week, it has been chosen that all songs will be based off of Madonna covers. So please recommend songs you think each artist would prefer to sing. Here's a complete list of her songs: www2.uta.edu/hunt/charts/madonna.htmlAnd of course, here is everyone who is left to perform tomorrow. Can't wait to hear your thoughts.

Well, after getting back at it a day late, we're finally to the top 10 for the Pulse Superstar Idol Finals. Tonight, though she can' be here, all artists will be doing covers of one of the most influential women in the music industry of our time, Madonna. Enough with the waiting let's get things kicked off, performing first tonight, it everyone's favorite underdog, Mr. Rivers Cuomo.
Rivers Cuomo- Don't Cry For Me Argentina Crowd Rating: 6 Judges Comments: Randy: Dog, Rivers....come on man, of all people, I'd expect you to sing that song, and you know, I must say, it may have been one of your best, good choice dog, but still, matter of time dog. Paula: Rivers, just keep on keepin' people thinking, and up for something new, who knows how far it will take you. Simon: Rivers, the problem with you, is that you think this is Last Comic Standing, and not only do you think that, but so does everyone else, hopefully soon they will realize this is all about singing, not Idiot Idol.
Well well, strrong words that aren't neceseery, well hopefully our next artist can bring the good comments back, here's Sarah.
Sarah Mclachlan- Frozen Crowd Rating: 7 Judges Comments: Randy: Sarah, what's up dog? I wasn't feeling it tonight, a little too slow, a little too, i don't know, not the same Sarah we saw about a month ago, it was aight dog. Paula: Yeah Sarah, I was hoping for something upbeat, which we haven't seen from you yet. Simon: Wsa the song named after your performance or something else, that was pretty awful Sarah. You just lost at least a quarter of your voters.
Sarah, you have nothing to worry about, well, maybe if we see a great performance from the lovely Mrs. Manson,
Shirley Manson- Beautiful Stranger Crowd Rating: 1 Judges Comments: Randy: Yeah Dog, Yeah Dog, Woo! That was hot! Your best performance yet, you really saved yourself, that's the girl we saw in the semi's baby, yeah! Paula: He's right, that was incredible, and you look great. Simon: I can't believe I'm saying this, but one of the best performances we've had this competition, shockingly good, take that in anyway you would like.
That was outstanding, hopefully the next guy up won't be afraid to follow that up, here he is, Seal.
Seal- Secret Crowd Rating: 8 Judges Comments: Randy: Dog, that was just plain dull. After last week's performance, just didn't do it for me, I know you're covering Madonna, but theirs a lot to work with, not good tonight dog. Paula: Seal, you have such a wonderful voice, and tonight I'm not sure if you were using it to your full potential. Simon: <whispering> I have a secret too, that was an absolute train-wreck.....if you didn't hear me, Seal, that was terrible. Nothing was good about it, bas song choice, bad voice, bad everything, but luckily you have done well with the voters.
Better luck next time, we all know your great, just like our next beautiful performer, the lovely Shania Twain.
Shania Twain- Open Your Heart Crowd Rating: 10 Judges Comments: Randy: Shania, you have your ups and downs dog, and tonite, that was a down, sorry. Paula: Shania, it happens to the best of us, better luck next time. Simon: Shania, I think you better start looking into the frequent flyer miles you have saved up for a free flight back to Ontario, only someone mentally retarded would vote for a performance that awful tonite.
From up north to further up north, how about Alaska's Prize.....Jewel!
Jewel- Love Profusion Crowd Rating: 9 Judges Comments: Randy: It was aight for me, I mean, I really don't know the song, it was aight. Paula: Jewel, I agree, I think something more familiar would have won many of us over! You still did great. Simon: That was amazing....amazingly horrendous. Absolutely terrible, I don't see the hype behind Jewel, that's all I have to say.
What is this, Canadien Idol? Well up next we have the lady taking care of business every week, Celine Dion!
Celine Dion- Like A Prayer Crowd Rating: 2 Judges Comments: Randy: Yeee-ah! Celine, the only artist here who every week comes through flawless, that was hot! Paula: Theres a good chance that we know who the next PSI is. Simon: I wouldn't say we found the idol yet, bigger surprises have happened, and Celine, you are the age of most of our voters grandmothers...
Now, to enter a little more of a darkness, but it's also the beautiful, lovely, Amy Lee
Amy Lee- Take A Bow Crowd Rating: 3 Judges Comments: Randy: Guess who's back? Ughhhhh, Amy, that was hot! Watch out if we continue to have covers, because you can do it baby, that was hot! Paula: Watch out Celine, that was amazing Amy. Way to be. Simon: Amy, you better pray that we have a lot of cover nights coming ahead, or it's your doom.
That was awesome Amy! Hopefully the last male performer of the competition can follow it up, he goes by the name, Rob Matchbox Twenty Thomas
Rob Thomas- I'll Remember Crowd Rating: 4 Judges Comments: Randy: Rob, that was actually pretty good, wasn't hot, better than aight dog, good cover. Paula: Rob, it's artists like you that shine a bright future for the music industry, you can pull anything off. Simon: Rob, it wasn't bad, but the only thing is, we still have yet to see an extrodinary performance from you. Every week its never bad, but nothing ever outstanding.
Last but not least, is the Soul Diva herself, the heartmelting Toni Braxton.
Toni Braxton- The Power Of Goodbye Crowd Rating: 5 Judges Comments: Randy: I don't know, not the best song choice, but you made it to a hot performance, not bad dog. Paula: Toni, I think that may have been your best performance yet, that was wonderful. Simon: Toni, that song is just not good, sorry Maddie, but it isn't. Why would you choose that, when a night like this is meant for someone with your vocal talent, stupid decision if you ask me.
Well that's all the performances tonite. Hopefully you all enjoyed hearing about them, and now will vote for your top three artists. To all the new people joining, here's what you do!
PRIVATE MESSAGE: RKWO
and in the message. vote for your TOP THREE
and that's it.
It's getting bigger every week and we always want new people. Voting ends at 11pm on Thursday, so see you then. Take it easy, and a PSI Update will occur on Wednesday,
VOTING STARTS NOW!

I don't understand why you keep going after Celine on her age. She's 36.
And for the record:
Shania Twain is 38 (will be 39 in August) Shirley Manson is 37 (and will be 38 in August) Toni Braxton is 37 (will be 38 in January) Sarah McLachlan is 2 months older than Celine Seal is 41

Well, it has been another close week for the finalists, especially since it was a week of covers, it gave all artists an equal opportunity to put out a great song. Some artists benefited, some went for the unlikely, and some may have just failed. Not to mention, we have a few very shocking surprises. This week, we have five pairs, until we get into the final two pairs, which will immedealty become the ever famous top three. I will post the voting percentages up if you guys would like.
Here they are!
Pair One: Sarah & Celine
Pair Two: Rivers & Shania
Pair Three: Toni & Jewel
Pair Four: Rob & Amy
Pair Five: Seal & Shirley
Who do you think is skrrrrrting out? Tell me what you think, I'l lstart taking groups off tomorrow afternoon.

Groups One, Three and Four are definetely safe.
Two and five aren't... granted that you think it's a surprise, I wouldn't be shocked if Shirley Manson got the boot.

I think quite possibly, that either Rivers or Shania is gone. Covers are pretty tough for some of these artists.

Your estimations are right on the money. While this weekend will be busy for us all, I'll go ahead and save some of the suspense for another time, and reveal the bottom three.
Rivers Cuomo Shania Twain Shirley Manson
This week was a bit of a landslide for some, but to just keep things interesting, here are the voting pcg's for the final 10.
1 Rob 22.4 % 2 Amy 15.2 % 3 Celine 14.1 % 4 Sarah 13.0% 5 Toni 12.0 % 6 Jewel 6.5 % 7 Seal 5.3 % 8 ? ? ? ? 4.7 % 9 ? ? ? ? 4.3 % 10 ? ? ? ? 2.2 %
Whoi's going home this week? Find out tomorrow night. An update will appear tomorrow around 2 pm.
By the way, if anyone has has anytime, please post all the songs the artists have sung (artists in the Top 10) of course. Or any other interesting inofrmation they'd like to share.
Personally, after the way Rivers has done, I'm shocked that he is in the Bottom Three, as well as Shirley, who had a great perfromance. I guess people are really looking towards the long-term talent right now. By the way, Sarah took a MAJOR blow compared to the weeks before.

Shirley Manson is safe.
We now only have two artists left, and one will be going home tonight. Who do you think is gonna be packing their bags?
Either Rivers or Shania will be saying goodbye.

PSI Update: 07-05-2004
Well we're down to nine finalists. This week the artists will be performing the Flashback Hits (top songs of 1984). Last week we said goodbye to Shania Twain, but she had a great run getting into the top 10 considering it was out of over 100 great artists to begin with. Well enough with the introductions, let's get a recap of the performances.
Celine Dion- We Belong (Pat Benetar) Crowd Ranking: 1 Judge's Comments: Randy: Dog, that was better than the original, that was damn hot Celine! Yeeeeeah! Paula: Celine, you always leave with class, and you look great. You have a while to go. Simon: Celine, you sounded okay, not one of your best performances, but look like a complete disaster. I'm not buying what your selling honey.
Seal- Caribbean Queen (Billy Ocean) Crowd Ranking: 6 Judge's Comments: Randy: Haha, that was not bad, but I mean, kind of cheesy, and definitely not your style dog, it was aight. Paula: Seal, I thought you sounded pretty darn good. Good job! Simon: Every week Seal, you go from bad to even worse. For the past month you have been skating on thin ice, and I think you might just fall in this week.
Sarah McLachlan- Boys Of Summer (Don Henley) Crowd Ranking: 5 Judge's Comments: Randy: Sarah, wasn't your best, but nice to see you doing a little more upbeat stuff, you sounded aight dog. Paula: I disagree, Sarah that was great, Don Henley is great, and you chose an excellent song. Simon: Sarah, I agree, choosing an upbeat song is a good idea, but it's the fact that can you sing an upbeat song? You have been losing voters every week, and you know, I see it happening again this week.
Shirley Manson- Cruel Summer (Bananarama) Crowd Ranking: 4 Judge's Comments: Randy: Shirley, you just keep hangin' on, and I think this week will be the same, it sounded all right dog. Paula: Shirley you continue to impress me every week more and more, I thought that was just as good as the original. Simon: If you ask me, that song is fairly simple and you chose it to be safe. I wasn't that impressed with the performance, I mean sorry, but i wasn't.
Rivers Cuomo- Easy Lover (Phil Collins) Crowd Ranking: 3 Judge's Comments: Randy: Rivers! Yo Dog, one of the most terrible, yet one of the better performances I have seen from you. I mean, who couldn't laugh or enjoy that performance, not bad, but you won't win that type of performance dog. Paula: Oh Rivers, I don't know, it was okay? Simon: Every week you make me want to quit my job and be sidekick to Seacrest on his talk show. That's how forward I look to your performance every week. Absolutely dreadful.
Toni Braxton- When Doves Cry (Prince and The Revs) Crowd Ranking: N\A Judge's Comments: Randy: Toni, it was aight dog. Prince is a pretty hard guy to follow up, it was aight, Paula: Toni, might just not your night, that's all, I'm sure you'll be fine. Simon: A little better than Rivers performance, but not much. I just found it to be a little boring. Prince was exciting, you weren't.
Jewel- It's My Life (Talk Talk) Crowd Ranking: 8 Judge's Comments: Randy: I still like Gwen's version better, it was aight. Nothing that great. Paula: Jewel, it felt kind of awkward, it was okay for me. Simon: <gasps> Tonight has been a completely horrible. I think you are a boring performer, and that performance tonight could be your last
Amy Lee- Time After Time (Cyndi Lauper) Crowd Ranking: 6 Judge's Comments: Randy: Yeeeah! That was kind of boring, but that wasn't bad at all...I don't nothing has really blew me away from you in a while. Paula: Amy I think you look great tonight, adn you sounded good as well. Simon: Another terrible performance. I hope we never do flashback night again. Amy you sang like a ventrilliquist dummy.
Rob Thomas- Drive (Cars) Crowd Ranking: 2 Judge's Comments: Randy: Rob, I'm finally gonna give it to you dog. That was the best slow song I have heard from any male artist in the competition. Rob Thomas dog! yeeeah! Paula: Oh Rob, what's holding you back to win this competition? Not much. Simon: Rob it was okay. I think the only reason why we thought it was good, is because the majority of the other performances tonight we're a train wreck.
Well their is what the judges have to say about it. To vote, remember to private message your TOP THREE to
rkwo- if you are in the Pulse Board rjkwo- if you are in the M4B
remember, your top three, and that's all. The voting will be announced on Thursday Night, so you have until 11:30pm EDT to vote. The competition is getting closer every week so keep the voting up. As for me, I'm out. Take it easy.
