Both of these chicas popped onto the charts about the same time. Now that the clouds have cleared and we're able to see them outside the promotional window, let's revisit this battle and see who we think will outlast the other. Is it the soulful Maria Jensen, the singer of the domestic abuse anthem, "I Give, You Take"? Or is it the Canadian rocker Fefe Dobson, singer of the retro, free-of-sexual-orientation-discrimination "Don't Go (Girls & Boys)"? It's a hard one to call, but I'll say Maria because her song peaked higher than Fefe's "Don't Go" and "Everything." "I Give, You Take" gives me chills. I can catch the flu just by watching the video. A+ for Maria Jensen! I hope SoulfulMaria.com is just on hiatus.

I like both, but Fefe wins this one.

While Fefe's "Everything" is one of my favorite songs of 2004, I have to vote for Maria. I got her album for $1 (Fefe's cost $5.50), and she's Samantha Mumba, so she wins.

I really like "I Give, You Take" but I like Fefe Dobson much more.
