There've sure been a lot of singles in a short time span from an album that tanked like this one did.
IMO, they are all good songs that deserved more than they got at radio, but one of them stands out as being particularly great... so my vite goes to "WAWR?" because unlike the others, there's NO excuse why this wasn't a hit.

Storm. i liked Jay-z's part. WAWR was good too. but as i said earlier, the industry and market is not interested in established artists anymore. No matter how good the material is.

I'd rank them in the order listed. While the singles from this album impress me more than the singles from his last album, none of them live up to classic Lenny.

I thought they were all horrible. I have liked him in the past but he really went crappy for this cd.

I'd rank them in the order listed. I'd rank/grade them like this: 1. Where Are We Runnin'? A2. California B3. Lady B4. Storm B-

"Where Are We Runnin'" gets my vote. It's a great song that would have been a hit had it come out in the '90s. Truth is, I'm not surprised it bombed at radio, as much as I love the song.
"Storm" is good too.

I haven't heard "Lady".
Personal chart peaks: Where Are We Runnin' - #19 Storm - #86 California - #71 and rising
I'll go with "WAWR".

I like "California" the best. I didn't like WAWR at all. I've heard "Storm" only once or twice, and it doesn't stick in my mind as either good or bad. Haven't heard "Lady" at all. Kravitz has had some superb songs in the past. I hope there's something like that here.

Oh man, he's great. It's hard to choose, but I'd have to go with Where Are We Runnin. I love it. I love the whole CD!

Glad to see some love for "California" too! The perfect summer radio driving-to-beach song that radio never touched

All of these songs got somewhat annoying from their presence in commericals (especially "California", "Lady" is getting there too). "Where Are We Running" is probably the best one left. I don't even think I heard "Storm", anyway. In fact, I wasn't even aware it or "Lady" were singles!

"Where Are We Runnin'?" was the perfect lead single. It was the perfect duration for radio play, the perfect signature riff, the perfect classic Kravitz soul was there. Lenny couldn't have done any better charging a lead single.
It's a shame this never hit big. Lenny did everything right and he still fails this time around. A sad truth.
Every other single just doesn't come up to par. "California" is decent enough, but doesn't have the par of appeal. "Lady" and "Storm" meanwhile are very mediocre.
Overall the singles from this album are superior to those from "Lenny", except "Stillness of Heart" was a great single (I gave it a B+). "Dig In" was just awful and the lyrics suggest eating then taking a #2.
Where Are We Runnin'? A California: B Lady: C Storm: D+
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

"Dig In" was just awful and the lyrics suggest eating then taking a #2. Hahaha, so true. I don't know what they were thinking releasing that single... and the fact that THAT lead single was a hit and WAWR? wasn't just shows radio doesn't base what they play on quality
