Sarah has to go home by a measley two votes.
So as you can see, the finals will be between
Rob Thomas Amy Lee
Tomorrow night will be the final showdown. I'm looking for all recommendations for what needs to be done, as well as any volunteers adding made-up stories or anything to the event, I'll let you guys take care of it until 11:30pm tomorrow night . Take it easy, after over 20 weeks, it's about time for the finals.

So, based on the poll results, I see Rob Thomas won. ;)

I'm looking for volunteers adding made-up stories or anything to the event Sarah protesters take to the streets.Violence ensues, leaving 3 dead, 7 injuredAmidst claims of vote-fixing and poll-rigging, Sarah McLachlan's Murmurs fan club organized a simultaneous protest march in all major cities yesterday. The one in D.C. turned bloody as members of the Secret Service, assuming that the protest was against President Bush, fired live ammunition into the unarmed crowd in an effort to disperse them. Host Ryan Seacrest admits the phone lines "have been abuzz" with demands for a recount. His email inbox has been cluttered with messages along the lines of "How the hell did that bitch Amy Lee get so far into the tournament?" and "WHO's Rob Thomas?" But Seacrest points out that "what's done is done. Those unhappy over the result should have indicated their opinions by voting last night, not taking to the streets this morning." "Rules are rules," he added rather disdainfully. There were also reports that McLachlan strongholds such as Chapel Hill, NC and Tulsa, OK were hit by blackouts, thus her fans there could not watch the show and did not know which number to call to vote for her. Conspiracy theorists claimed that Amy Lee hired the Terror Squad to engineer the blackouts, until someone pointed out that the Terror Squad was really not in the terror business despite their name. The White House was unavailable for comment at the time of press. - Reuters.

The Veteran-Rob Thomas
Lead singer of what became Matchbox Twenty for approximately 10 years, Rob Thomas is headed for yet another peak in his musical career. The first of which came in 1999 when his collaboration with Santana, "Smooth", won 3 Grammies.
Now on his way to a solo career, Thomas may very well be on his way to become the first Pulse Superstar Idol. Thomas went in the favorite, but will he leave a champion?
The Upstart-Amy Lee
A surprise in the finals, Ms. Lee has a chance to win it all. The 22-year-old lead singer of Evanescence has recordings of music that date back to 1997, when Amy was purportedly 15 years old. Since early 2003, Evanescence has taken the world by storm, selling 12+ million copies of their debut album Fallen.
5 Grammy nominations and 2 wins later, now Amy Lee has something more to prove to the fans of Pulse Superstar Idol. Is the unthinkable possible? To Amy Lee, the unthinkable is commonplace.

A homonym for "measly," which aptly describes her chances of winning as well as her list of respectable qualities.

Well, all I did was profile the "competitors" of the final. I was trying to have a little fun with it and look at what happens... I think that attack was a little uncalled for, but it's cool. Not everybody likes my favorite artist. Big deal.

Hey, I was just kidding. Should've realized she's your favorite artist from that avatar, but I didn't. (I loved Evanescence till a few months ago, when I just got sick of Amy Lee's attitude. She can be really annoying at times.)

Well, its down to our final night of the whole competition. Out of over 125 performers, we have finally reached our bottom two. Simon has ripped people apart for four months, Randy has "yo'ed" at contestants while Paula has adored them. The two final contestants, Rob Thomas and Amy Lee are both artists who have popped up on the scene through the rivers of Alternative Music. Rob, and his band Matchbox Twenty have had many Top 5 hits in multiple formats, as well as Amy has had with her band, Evanescense. While both artists have had their ups and downs in the contest, its interesting to know that not only one, but both started out as wild cards. Amy was originally defeated by Sarah McLachlan, and Rob was originally defeated by Shirley Manson. Rob has found himself leading the competition at many times, while Amy was in the bottom three at multiple times before become a crowd favorite in the latter half of the whole competition. Well tonight, we begin the final showdown. Each artist will perform two songs tonight, and then after that, the voting is officially up to voters. Well enough with the jabber, lets get this going, before performing indivisually tonight, all the artist's will be performing: Evanescence's- Bring Me To LifeSimon- "Well, it's glad to know that will almost be the last time that I have to see all of you perform..... I'm kidding!" Randy- "Dog, I must say, as much as this has drove me crazy, you guys were all great...even Rivers!" Paula- "It's great to see all of you together again" Seacrest- "Well, she battled from the bottom to the top, but all the way to #1, we won't know until a little bit later, tonight, the artists had a choice to sing a cover from this past decade, however, a song that never hit the top 20, kind of giving them a little twist and then one of their own, so let's see how it goes... here she is, the beautiful Amy Lee" First Performances Amy Lee- I Will Love Again (Lara Fabian)Randy- Amy, dog, I don't know that song at all, but your vocals have never sounded better Paula- You look GORGEOUS, you sound AMAZING, I'm so proud of you Simon- I promise, last critical thing you will hear. Nobody knew the song, but you can make it up in the next performance....ahhhh, you sounded superb. Amy Lee- Thanks! I just, I wanted a song that could show my range, and I think its a beautiful song...a lot of people say I'm selling out, but hey, their problem. Seacrest-Β Up next is the man himself, a guy who just keeps winning as the underdog to the music industrym here he is, Rob Thomas! Rob Thomas- I Hope You Dance (Lee Ann Womack)Randy-Β Rob! Are you kidding me dog! It actually sounded all right, but Lee Ann Womack.....only you could pull that off...hahaha YEAH DOG, YEEEEEAH! Look at this guy Rob- What did you expect me to sing, Creed? Damn! Paula- Rob....you are another story, but you look like a winner tonight! Simon- Rob........that's all I can say right now...but, it was good. Well, their's half the show, again, for the final time, the twelve performers will take a shot at another song. It's the last time they will all be up here on stage, so hopefully we can give them a big round of applause, let's hear it! Santana f.\ Rob Thomas- SmoothSimon- "You were all a pleasure to criticize and hear, you are all stars, some better than others...but, it was great" Randy- "The Final 12 DOG! Yeah" Paula- "I'm crying because I'll miss ya all" Seacrest- " Well it's the last time everyone, including are finalists will perform. Singing her most notable single, here is Amy Lee, singing.....My Immortal" Second Performance Amy Lee- My Immortalb]
Randy- Truly Amazing, the final vote is going to be amazingly close. Good job dog! Yeah!
Paula- Amy, I must say thank you for the last four months, it has been great.
Simon- Amy, it is a fact that that has been your best performance. You have shown that your a star!
Amy Lee- Thank You! Vote For Me Pulse!
Seacrest- Last but not least, it's what we have all been waiting for. Rob Thomas to sing his signature hit, Smooth? Not Tonight.......how about....If You're Gone! Which you better not be tonight!
Simon- Seacrest Shut Up!
Rob Thomas- If You're Gone
Randy- Rob Thomas Everyone!!! Yeah!
Paula- Rob we're gonna miss ya! That was incredible.....
Simon- I must say, coming into the competition, I didnt think you were that great, now I understand why you are so popular....thanks for the great performances you have had like that one.
Rob Thomas Thanks for everyone who voted me here today...even if Amy cleans house on me for the title!
Seacrest- Well that's it! We will offically announce the winner on Sunday Night. Until then, vote as many times as possible. Promote who you think should win. This contest basically says who is everyone's favorite artist! Who is it! Make sure to vote and discuss why you voted for this person, and what it would be like if this really happened. Don't forget, Sunday Sunday Sunday.
AND FINALLY THE LOCK IS OFF, SEACREST OUT!!!
