Billy Joel is one of the biggest selling recording artists ever in US. What is your favourite Billy Joel song that was a hit in the US.

Out of the list "Uptown Girl," but there are many I like much more than it. Namely, the 3 songs I mentioned in the other topic.

I wanted to vote for "We Didn't Start The Fire" (I remember my history teacher playing it for us in 8th grade as an excuse to cover everything after World War II). But "Piano Man" just seems like too much of a classic to me for me to ignore it. It feels kinda timeless.

Definitely "My Life". Most of the others are tired old AC songs, many of which I was never crazy about in the first place.

We Didn't Start The Fire, great history lesson, yet voted one of the worst songs in history! :o

"It's Still Rock And Roll To Me" and "Just The Way You Are" are his two best songs IMO. I'll go with with the former here, but they're really close...

You May Be Right is my favorite from my favorite album, Glass Houses. Of this list, I guess River of Dreams since it's his last one.
I don't understand how Billy Joel can be overrated, when nobody really rates him that high.
He's one of my favorite artists of all time, his material is extremely diverse.

"Piano Man" surges ahead of "Uptown Girl" with "We Didn't Start The Fire" sneaking up behind!
Billy Joel was very popular with my old friends from East Asia.
