"Iris" by miles! It came out when I was 13 so I had no idea what it meant, but now that I'm 20 and have been in love a few times, takes on a whole new meaning!
Jewel and No Doubt were tied for second.
"Smooth" and "One Sweet Day" just haven't stood the test of time for me.

Damn, this is a tough one...three of these songs are among my favorite tracks to come out in the '90s i.e. "Don't Speak", "Iris", and "Smooth".
"Iris" is my favorite, but I'm going with "Smooth" here. It feels strange saying it's one of the biggest songs of the '90s when it topped the charts at the very end of the decade, but overall, it definitely was the biggest hit out of all those listed.

This looks like a lot better array of choices than we have for the first half of the decade. "Don't Speak" seems to me the obvious choice. Either it or "Missing" for biggest hit of the decade, with maybe "Truly Madly Deeply" third. The other songs listed here aren't that far behind. "Smooth" is one of the biggest hits of all time, but it straddled the decades.

1)one sweet day 2)smooth 3)dont speak 4)iris 5)you were meant for me
i really love no doubt's unique style, and santana is my hero; but boyz-2-men had that decade in a stranglehold with hits like one sweet day, down on bended knee, end of the road, ill make love to you etc. they deserve #1
