I have to go with "Life for Rent." It's a consistently good album with many beautiful songs. Much better than "No Angel" IMO.
I like "Afterglow" as well, but it disappointed me slightly compared to Sarah's previous work.

"Afterglow" may pale in comparison to "Surfacing" and "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy" but it still absolutely destroys anything Dido ever did.

I really like Dido's album, but next to Sarah's it doesn't stand a chance.

"Life For Rent". I love "Afterglow", but I stopped listening to it after a few months. "Life For Rent" is still spinning...

Dido's songs sound more diverse on LFR than Sarah's do on Afterglow

It's the same for me, though both CD's were somewhat disappointing. But you're comparing to very high standards. "No Angel" IMO is the best CD song for song in the last 20 years, and Sarah is consistently good.
