Do You think Beyonce's "Hip Hop Star" featuring Big Boi & Sleepy Brown was going to be a single? And Are you glad or sad it wasn't a single?

I thought it would've been one, and am still disappointed that it wasn't. Beyonce even named it as her favorite track off the entire record.
*sigh*

Yes (and it should've been a single)
(I hated it at first, but then I grew to love it.)

Besides the singles, this was the only tolerable track on the album. The rest sucked royally.

No there were too many other good choices. I love the song but I am glad it wasn't a single

No, I think it's one of the weaker tracks from the album. The song right after it, "Be With You", is probably my favorite after "Naughty Girl", although its verse is a ripoff of "Strawberry Letter #23" by the Brothers Johnson. I think that the 4 songs they did release were their 4 best bets for commercial success.

No way this should have been released as a single. She should have wrapped up the project with "Be With You" as the 5th single.

I definitely think this should have been released as a single. It has such a fresh, different, yet still extremely catchy sound. And with Beyonce and Outkast being as big as they were in late 2003/early 2004, it could have been a huge hit. But no, Sony would rather put everyone to sleep with Me Myself & I
