None of the above because I wouldn't be interested in breaking it big on someone else's name.

None of the above because I wouldn't be interested in breaking it big on someone else's name. I should have thought of that answer. But I picked Avril Lavigne, because she's the most successful of the artists on the list that is close to my style of music.

This one was way to easy. "Yeah" = 12 weeks at number one. "Goodies" = 7 weeks at number one.

To have Missy on your debut single is cliche... How many songs has she been featured in over the past five years?
Using Lil' Jon just seems desperate. "Well I have no fanbase and my music is only subpar, so let's drop this rapper's name and see what happens."
Ashlee Simpson and you might as well be signing a contract for fifteen minutes.
Out of those choices, I would have to pick Avril Lavigne because she has never been "featured" on a song to my knowledge, and the novelty would create a huge buzz around my song. My answer WOULD have been Amy Lee by leaps and bounds, but her "featured" day has already come. I want to be originial.

i chose gwen because she has a great '50's look about her, she wirtes her own songs and sings them really well, shes not shy and she is great with the media. what more could u want from your lead artist?

Ashlee and Amy would be instant flop.
Lil Jon is instant #1.
Gwen would be considered, T.I. isn't so well known on pop, but a hip hop single would be different.
interesting poll!
