This is a hard choice for me! I'll have to think about it and vote later.

I choose "The Writing's On The Wall" because I can listen to the ENTIRE album without changing the track. It was a solid effort that could have spawned MORE singles than it did. To me the album has stood the test of time and will continue to do so.

TWOTW actually has some stinkers on it ("Sweet sixteen" barf), and it runs a little long. Still, I was going to vote for it... but I voted for "Destiny Fulfilled" because it needs to end up with more votes than "Survivor".

The Writing's On the Wall - easily. This album, with the exception of only one song ("Sweet Sixteen") is actually a very solid, catchy, quality album that I really enjoyed back in the day.
I was suckered into buying Survivor but it sucked and I ended up giving it aay to my little cousin less than a month later.
I haven't heard all of Destiny Fulfilled but the 2 singles are very sub-par, and if they're the best on the album, it's obviously not good.

I choose "Destiny's Fulfilled" because I don't really get the hype over them and "Lose My Breath" is possibly the best and most innovative track of their career, and the samples on the album are nice.

The people picking "Survivor" are probably the same one's who think "Destiny Fulfilled" is awful--- b/c it's not crappy pop! The newest album HANDS DOWN has the best vocals and freshest production (except for "Say My Name" and "Bills x3", TWOTW was pretty standard).

hard choice but I ended up voting for TWOTW. I don't think there is a track on that album that I don't like

"Destiny Fulfilled" is easily their worst record of their career. The first few tracks (which include the two singles) are nice, and they are choosing the right tracks as singles, but the whole rest of the record is watered down with consecutive ballads, and though the music is some of the finest sounding, the lyrics are a total mess and lack the impression their early days offered, where Destiny's Child was the epitome of girl power and femininity. Now, with tracks like "Cater 2 U", the spark feels like it is all gone.
I never consider remix albums or Christmas albums as "true studio releases". I only consider full studio albums of new material real albums.
Their self-titled debut is good, but that was when they were still getting used to how the music business operates and they were still looking for a creative vision, which their follow-up would yield.
"Survivor" is their second best release, because they really put their heart into the messages of each song and write out the tribulations and adversities the trio lived through in-between releases, etc.
"The Writing On The Wall", however, would HAVE to be their masterpiece. Their catchiest offerings come off this release, and best display the full range of their talents.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I think this is their best album. I promise that if anyone say something else about Cater 2 U contradicting what they use 2 say Im gonna scream. all and critics do not understand at all the concept of that song. When someone is in love with a person they will do a lot 4 them. My mom does a lot 4 her boyfriend. She irons his clothes, cooks 4 him, and does a lot of other stuff for him. Cater 2 Him has nothing 2 do with depending on her man, it just say that she will cater 2 u cuz she loves him.
Writings on The Wall was good but when I look back on it, that was to teenager stuff. Way back they didnt have boyfriends just each other. Now Kelly about 2 get married and beyonce has been with Jay-Z 4 over a year, they want 2 talk about other stuff like loving their man. And what about songss like Through With Love andd Is She The Reason. Tose are enpowering songs with GREAT lyrics.
People really are critisizing the approach DC did with this album and I dont see why. Why they got 2 stick with the same stuff. They did OVER 3 years ago. I bet if the lyrics 2 this album was like Survivor or Independent Women, people will not critisize this album as much. There whole album is mature but yall dont want them 2 mature.
DC have change and in DC words. "Can you keep up". Obviously the answer is.... no.

who's talents? Beyonces? Cause thats all I basically hear on that album. The album is great but it was nothing more than a display of Beyonce. i think Destiny Fulfilled best displays the GROUPS talents, not just Beyonces

Like I said on the Destiny's Child board, there is nothing wrong with tending to your significant other. Hell, I do it. But DC sound like they're one step away from wiping thier man's @ss on "Cater 2 U."
Kelly's verse in particular is just gross, all the crap about "I'll always keep in shape just for you," "I'll always keep my hair and clothes looking good for you," "I'm here to serve you," and the "just tap me on the shoulder and I'll always roll over" line. That's not the kind of stuff I want to hear from any woman, let alone these self-professed independent women.
As for the album as a whole, it's pretty mediocre stuff. It has nothing to do with it being more R&B-ish, that's my favorite genre of music, I'm all for a more R&B sound. The songs just aren't there this time around IMO.

Definitly "The Writting's On The Wall" for me. I listened to that album over and over. I only listened to "Survivor" a few times and after listening to the clips of "Destiny Fulfilled" I couldn't get into it at all and haven't even bothered to listen to it

It has nothing to do with it being more R&B-ish, that's my favorite genre of music, I'm all for a more R&B sound. The songs just aren't there this time around IMO. That's just what I was meaning to talk about in my initial response. "Cater 2 U" just contradicts the feminist energy coming out of many of their early songs. It sounds like they're enslaved to their men rather, in fact, it's the exact opposite of the original impression their music had toward women. "T-Shirt" is another track that I feel a little embarrassed hearing from them. It sounds like the "nothing but a T-shirt on" lyric from Jessica Simpson's "With You" caught onto them and now they wrote almost like a spin-off single from it. So, those two tracks I think are probably the worst two tracks they've ever written. "Destiny Fulfilled" isn't all bad though. Like I said before, they're choosing the singles wisely, and the music is okay. Also, "Is She The Reason?" I think is one of their better tracks of their career. All in all, I just think their new record lacks the integrity or passion they possessed in "The Writing's On The Wall" or "Survivor". Sincerely, Noah Eaton
