Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out" should have been nominated in this category I believe. I don't know one person who hates this song. Occasionally you get the "eh, it got overplayed!" but many STILL enjoy this and many even consider it the best U.K guitar single in years. Agreed, but then again, Modest Mouse could have also had been nominated here.

The thing about this category, is that even though Alicia has 67 percent of the votes right now, if "If I Ain't Got You" had not been nominated, I wouldn't think that very many, if anyone, would complain.
I mean, this is Song Of The Year. This is a money category. These nominees are impossibly piss-poor for such a major category.

Agreed, this is the lamest song of the year lineup in recent memory. However, "If I Ain't Got You" is light-years ahead of the others in every aspect.
