Since virtually nobody cared for the real nominations, I thought I'd see if I could do better. These are songs I'd consider nominating. Although normally there are only 5 nominations, with this polling option I can list 8, and since I'm having trouble squeezing it down to 5, I thought I'd take advantage of this option. I'm sure I've overlooked some worthy candidates, but so it goes.

1. Muse - Time Is Running Out (Absolution has not left my cd player in over a year.) 2. Modest Mouse - Float On (One of the few occasions where a simple song with a simple premise that has nothing to do with ass shaking and bling can have an impact on people or the radio.) 3. Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out (If this pole was taken during when Take Me Out was first released, it would have been #1, and is very close to it still.) 4. Incubus - Megalomaniac (Would have been #1 here at the beginning of the year. To me, 1-4 are all close.) 5. Breaking Benjamin - So Cold (Its alright for an active rock song, but its not the best there is.)
Haven't heard I Don't Wanna Know or Who Is She To You.

"Breaking The Habit" by far. My second favorite is "Megalomaniac."

You should have been on the Grammy committee. I'll be glad to give "So Cold" its first vote. 1. Breaking Benjamin "So Cold" 2. Incubus "Megalomaniac" 3. Linkin Park "Breaking The Habit" 4. Mario Winans "I Don't Wanna Know" 5. Modest Mouse "Float On" 6. Muse "Time Is Running Out" 7. Franz Ferdinand "Take Me Out" I've never heard Brandy "Who Is She 2 U?".

Aided by watching them last night, I have to give it to Breaking Benjamin.
