They should wait until it's had a chance to build at Hot AC before going to pop. I hope it does well though.

Just like Toby Lightman, she'll have limited success on Hot AC but fail to get any attention elsewhere.
My Prediction: Will Not Chart
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

My Prediction: Will Not ChartSincerely, Noah Eaton ... and just as you write this, Toby Lightman enters the CHR Pop Chart at #50! Go Toby!! And also, I wouldn't necessarily expect Butterfly to make the pop charts, as I think she "aimed higher" by going Hot AC. I wish the pop charts were more open to doing something besides playing the latest hip-hop reworks of prior hits. Maybe someday!

If this was a perfect world, this song would go top 10. It's very 90's, to me. Had it been released around 95 or 97, I bet it could have gone top 10. The chorus just hooks you right a way.
I think it'll chart, but not very high. Toby and her have kind of a similar sound and vibe to them. And look at Toby? She's gotten a better response then I'd have guessed she would've gotten. So good for her. Hopefully Butterfly can follow.
*edit* Whoa, I just listened to the link above. It's different from the album version. She seemed to make it more calm and slow, and added some strings. She re-recorded all the vocals as well. I'm kind of mixed The song is so good that it didn't really need a remix. But I guess this one is more suited for pop.

I can't believe this is going to pop. Why is that so unbelievable? An interesting song, it may grow on me more.

This does sound very 90's from the beginning to the end, but that's definetly not a bad thing, at least it doesn't sound like a 2000's song! It's good, but not great, catchy but a little boring and repetitive on first listen.

Why is that so unbelievable? It's a Hot AC song and hasn't even charted there yet.

You all really need to download the original version. I found out that she re-recorded this for the US version of the album. I haven't actually purchased the US version yet so I didn't know that. But the original is so much better. It's more intense and has a rock flare to it.
