What do you think? Besides the fact that I'm a huge LP fan, I still think BTH was definately worthy of ATLEAST being nominated...
Daughters was John Mayer's scraps...It's so simple and talentless...He has much better stuff that deserved to be nominated (unless it was last year..I don't remember.) But I do not think Daughters deserved to even be nominated.
Should I mention "White Houses"? (Thankfully Harmonium was past the cut off date...SO MAYBE they'll love her next year...)

Breaking The Habit seems like more of a Record of the Year contender than Song of the Year, but Daughters straight-up sucked.

I like "Daughters", but I'm a little wary of it being nominated. It seems like "Clarity" is a much better example of Mayer's songwriting.
And I agree that "Breaking The Habit" seems more like a Record of the Year nominee, since the melody and instrumentation carry the song much more than the lyrics. Although an AotY nod for "Meteora" last year would've been nicer to me.

"Breaking The Habit" sucked. And while "Daughters" is no masterpiece, it deserves 20 times more success than "Breaking The Habit".

I didn't mean in that spacific category, but that Daughters was nominated at all, and BTH was skipped for any nominations...I realize now how I said it..heh

Says a person with Ashlee Simpson as their avatar... Who cares if I have Ashlee on my avatar? I was expecting this. Just proves how predictable you are.

You're being completely ridiculous, Eric. Basically, you're trying to say that my opinion is worthless simply because I'm a fan of Ashlee's music - and let me tell you, that's BS. I saw you do it to Nick earlier, because he's a fan of Lindsay Lohan, and you're trying to do it to me as well. I don't fall for these things so easily, let me tell you.
If I dislike "Breaking The Habit", who gives a damn? Is it causing you to lose sleep? If it is, you're probably not even worth my time.
You need to grow up.

Neither. BTH isn't a bad song, but by no means is it one of the five best of the past year. "Daughters" sucks. Its themost boring song I've heard in awhile.

"Daughters" certainly isn't one of Mayer's best songs, but it still deserved both nominations and wins as much of the rest of the competition was lamer.
"Breaking the Habit" is the first Linkin Park single I've liked. Even so, I feel there are better songs out there to get the nomination than that.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I would be making fun of you too... but I'm obsessed with that song "Autobiograhpy"... otherwise Ashlee is the big sucky.
