She definitey deserved it because the song is great, but I think "well deserved" is going a little too far.

I think it was very well-deserved. However, I do believe "Toxic" deserved more nominations.
Isn't this Britney's first ever Grammy?

I was shocked in 99 or 00 when Brit lost to X-Tina but by now we know who can sing.

I'd say well deserved. It was a Grammy for a dance recording after all. At first I couldn't stand this song, then I heard it in a club and I realized what an amazing recording it was. So, yeah, it's a great song to dance to and that's what the award is all about.
I remember some people predicting she'd get nominated for Record of the Year...that's too far imo, but Britney deserved this award for sure. It'll probably be the only Grammy she gets, so it's good that she won it.

They grammys are not a singing competition. I'd give it the win on dance part ;)

I like her song and at first I was about to concede acceptance of her win. Then I looked at who she was up against and noticed that they all were much more credible artists than Britney is. Totally undeserved.

In the category of "dance recording", absolutely.

I have nothing against her for winning.
I just think the Scissor Sisters was a better nomination more worthy of the award is all.
With that said, I guess I'll go "Didn't Deserve It" but not in a degrading, ticked off kind of tone.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

It's well deserved. The song wouldn't have worked if Britney didn't do it.

The nominees: β’ "Good Luck," Basement Jaxx featuring Lisa Kekaula β’ "Get Yourself High," The Chemical Brothers β’ "Slow," Kylie Minogue β’ "Comfortably Numb," Scissor Sisters β’ "Toxic," Britney Spears (for the record, my selection was "didn't deserve it". If she must win one, it might as well be for this song.)

If she was ever going to win for anything, it would have had to be for this award.
She deserved this one.

Nothing against Britney, because I love the song, but she didn't deserve it. It should have went to "Slow" IMO.

I still don't know what the hell they were thinking. At least the general public doesn't know.
