Monica is by far my favorite on this list but I'm not voting for her because she is neither mediocre nor interchangeable. >:(

You don't like Monica? I don't know why this surprises me, but it does!

You don't like Monica? I don't know why this surprises me, but it does! Holy sh**. I just realized I quoted him without comprehending exactly what he said! I LOVE them all, which is why I'm not voting. I read it as, "I'm not voting on the basis that they are all NOT mediocre." Eh... you should know I'm a HUGE Jill Scott fan! And I love love love Monica (even voted for her in 'most likely to get another pop hit') and the rest are fab. I feel so stupid! LOL.

Faith, Monica, Kelly Price, Jill Scott, Tamia!!!! NONE OF THESE WOMEN ARE MEDIOCRE OR INTERCHANGEABLE R&B STARS all these women with maybe the exception of Tamia are on track to become R&B LEGENDS. These women are among the best MUSIC has to offer, especially when it comes to vocals. You must have been drunk when you thought of this list. Come back with some more singers that are really interchangeable like Nivea, and some others in that same vein.

The only mediocore one here is Tamia, and she still has a better voice than most females out there. Out of this list though, I have to go with Faith being my favorite. Her first album was great.

I fail to see how any of these females are interchangeable, or mediocre. And how can you have a mediocre R&B board without the likes of Ashanti, Nivea, Olivia, or Christina Milian?
My favorite is definately Faith though.

I like Monica, and I don't feel she is mediocre.
Why did you add her last name? She never uses it anyway.

These girls are mediocre in terms of their impact on music. The other girls are even worse. Mediocre means average. The other list has people on it that are below average. I don't know why people think you have to dislike something for it to be mediocre....usually that's what makes it below average.
None of these artists have the standing that the major R&B females have had that's why I put them in the mediocre category.

These girls are mediocre in terms of their impact on music. I think Monica has definitely impacted music. Along with Brandy and Aaliyah, she created the whole movement of what was popular in R&B in the mid/late 90's.

Mediocre based on their impact on music? What the hell does that mean?
Calling them mediocre artists implies that they have average talent and make average music. Faith, Kelly, Jill, and Monica certainly don't fall into that category IMO. I'm not overly familiar with Tamia, but she does have an excellent voice and has released several singles that I've like.

Yes, I was expecting to see artists like those when I clicked on this topic. Anyway, Faith is my favorite out of these.

I don't think any of them are mediocre or interchangeable. ??? Because they aren't. You can't compare thses ladies to leends because they've been around at least 20 years. Just because evry one of their singles doesn't go top 10 doesn't mean that they are mediocre. I think you need to check what these ladies music. they make music, not whats hot right now like Ciara, Nivea, Brooke Valentine, Ashanti, Etc.. Hell you might as well add Alicia keys to the list if these ladies are mediocre.

Definitely not mediocre or interchangeable, and certainly not interchangeable with one another. I don't see how some of the artists here are even similar, besides the fact that they're all female R&B vocalists.
My favorite would be Faith, with Monica in second.
