If Mis-teeq is so good why has their label hesitant to release their stuff in the states? I don't know where you heard that from. For the past year they've been saying that they plan to release their stuff in America after the second album.

Are they going to push "Scandalous" over here? I heard it on the radio two nights ago. I was shocked!

A heard a couple of their songs and the one sound EXACTLY like "What About Us" and the other sounded EXACTLY like "FanMail (intro)" Please. Mis-teeq is nothing innovative. and joshjoel, last I heard TLC was still reigning supreme (top selling) girl group of all time. If anyone's going to be the next divas, it's going to be Destiny's Child, unfortunately. If Mis-teeq is so good why has their label hesitant to release their stuff in the states? And every girlband to get any success has to be as succesful and influential as TLC does it? grow up... Obviously any modern female RnB group will be in some way influenced by TLC, but that doesn't make them cheap ripoffs. The songs are actually quite different in style and theme. Blaque were far more blatant a rip-off. Mis-teeq are a quality group who deserve attention in America. Now it looks like they might get some. End of.

Blaque is awesome! I love their songs "I'm Good" and "Hopeless" (clip).

You must have heard the first 2 tracks from the original "Eye Candy" release! Those aren't comparable to their R&B classics such as "Stamp Reject" from their first album.

However... they have 2 entire albums of songs that don't sound like anything else. Their first album is totally innovative and not comparable to any US girl group.

Also at this comment after Sugababes made top 50. They're top 40 now! GO the babes! Actually I am surprised Sugababes seem to be doing better than Mis-Teeq. Mis-Teeq are more straight forward and R&B. Sugababes are a mix of all styles and I think their appeal and style is lost on the US market.

Well, in all fairness, Hole In The Head went for adds a couple of weeks before Scandalous. I think that within a week or so Mis-Teeq will end up passing the Sugababes. This song is on fire right now!

This song has grown on me. I think it will sound nice during the summer in the US. The beat is kind of Dr Dre-ish but this song sounds like it would have come out around 1999 or 2000.

I'm enjoying this song more and more that I hear it. It's extremely radio friendly, I hope it continues to pick up spins in the weeks that come. Not to mention, Mis-teeq are some great looking girls. :)

Wow they've jumped a lot in the past day and up to #39 with a healthy bullet.
It would be very cool if Mis-Teeq AND Sugababes both had a Top 10 US hit... and about time too!
I have no idea what Mis-Teeq will do for their 2nd single and album release. Their first album is brilliant but not very US friendly. Their second album is more US friendly but a little bland and generic. I guess "One Night Stand" could be a big hit there too - it's very radio friendly. After that... if on the amazing chance they actually get 2 hit singles... I'd love them to release the garage version of "All I Want" and introduce that sound to US pop radio.

There hasn't been a girl group hit for quite some time. Hopefully Mis-Teeq and Sugababes will fill the gap.

I hope they release one of the singles from their first album instead of the second. Radio is more into a risk lately instead of going for bland R&B. The only Mis-Teeq single I hate is "B With Me". "Why" is nice too, but I don't know how it would do here. Maybe the remix could be pushed. I'd really like to see them push a 2-step single, especially if "Scandalous" goes Top 10.

There's a remix of the song that features a rap from Redman using the beat of his song 'Smash Sumthin'. I prefer the original but you can listen to the remix here

The only Mis-Teeq single I hate is "B With Me". That song wasn't too hot. I remember listening to it once when it was released and I never listened to it again.

I agree that "B With Me" is not that great - kinda boring.
"All I Want" is really good - it's absolutely crazy in a cool way. There are also some really good R&B remixes but they're totally different songs pretty much so I doubt they'd be able to contribute to airplay. Not too sure but maybe they did actually have the same lyrics.. will have to listen to the single again.

'All I Want' (the Sunship, Ignorants and Blacksmith remixes) are all awesome! To answer your question the lyrics to the remixes of 'All I Want' are the same except the chorus of the Ignorants remix. If they were to release a garage track (which i hope they do) i think 'Dance Your Cares Away' is by far the best option.

MIS-TEEQ Scandalous Producer(s): StarGate Writer(s): various Publisher(s): EMI Music Publishing/ Sony ATV Music Publishing/Universal Music Publishing Label/Catalog Number: Reprise 101314 (CD promo) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: May 08, 2004 Already big in the United Kingdom, R&B/hip-hop trio Mis-Teeq is making a run for stateside success. Members Su-Elise Nash, Sabrina Washington and Alesha Anjanette Dixon have scored numerous U.K. hit singles, including a No. 2 with "Scandalous." Some Americans are already familiar with Dixon, as she is the featured actress in N*E*R*D's video for "She Wants to Move." On the head-bobbing "Scandalous," the trio mix up reggae-fied rap bits with silky-smooth harmonies. Thanks to a Dr. Dre-like beat, the track refuses to dislodge itself from the brain—long after its final groove has played. The cut is garnering a healthy amount of U.S. airplay, with solid gains each week. The track has already debuted on the Mainstream Top 40 airplay chart. R&B-leaning stations should not be far behind.—KC

I finally heard this on y100 as part of the new music file. It's nothing special. I can see this going top 20, but no more.

Oh, is this the first StarGate production to hit the Top 40 on CHR/Pop? It's cool to see some fellow Trondheimians having success in the US
