Left out Biggie and Pac cause they legends. Left out MC's like Mos Def, Common and Kanye cause they don't exactly fit in with the other MC's. MC's like Nelly and Chingy were left out cause, well they ain't all that good lyrically?
1) Nas 2) Jadakiss 3) Jay-z 4) The Game 5) Ludacris 6) 50 Cent 7) Fat Joe 8) Ja Rule (although loved "New York, New York")
T.I. would be tied wit Luda. Fabolous you after 50, Cam'Ron and Julez Santana U before after Jay-Z.
Did I leave anyone out?

Nas, no contest.
And aside from Jay-Z, none of the others should even be on this list.

I picked JayZ, with Nas a close 2nd. The only other good rappers is Jadakiss(but has little commercial success) and Ludacris(who has good lyrics but sometimes too playful and childish)

I also think Twista and Kanye are great rappers. True. But they arent on this list unfortunately because they were replaced by 50 Cent and Jarule. Why??? I will never know. I guess he just posted people with the most publicity now. See how 50 Cent, Game, Fat Joe, Ja Rule, and Jadakiss is on this poll.

Where's "None of the Above?"
Of those, I'd say Jay-Z

can you change the title to, best rappers in modern times???
if you say best rappers alive, you are COMPLETELY leaving out some of the truly best rappers, artists, movers, and shakers, that ever walked this earth!!

Definitely Nas. No question.
Kanye should have been included...he was left out because he didn't fit in?!

My favortie is Q-tip or Common....
50 Cent, The Game, Ja Rule, Ludacris and Fat Joe should not even be on the list.

What y'all know about Aesop Rock, or The Streets? Those two are killing everybody on this list right about now!

They're all terrible. I'd hardly say he's the "hottest", but I guess Nas is the most tolerable. I basically agree with JK's order, at least with the first 3. The rest are in a rough tie for the worst artist around. Rappers of the past were better than the ones on this list, and some of them are still alive.

Jay Z, and maybe Nas and Ludacris (not lately, though) are the only ones of these that are capable of adding anything to a song besides a beat.
I agree with whoever mentioned The Streets that Mike Skinner can rhyme circles around any of these.

1) Jay-Z 2) Nas (LOL at the two being juxtaposed) 3) Ludacris 4) Jadakiss
5) 50 Cent 6) Fat Joe (again, nice juxtoposition) 7) The Game
8) Ja Rule. The fact that he was even considered for this title is a joke.
