This hard between Madonna and Janet, but......
Madonna is just GREAT.
Janet became a star after Michael(who was and probably still is the biggest entertainer of our time). We ALL know how it is when a younger sibling try to get famous after their older sibling was famous. Try to imagine Britneys little sister or Solange trying to be famous. They would prob. flop so hard. But Janet who had little singing talent, not only got a name for herself, but became a legend in her own right.
But I still vote for MAdonna.

Janet Damita Jo Jackson. She was the first female artist I followed and she'll always be #1 to me.
As far as males are concerned, Stevie and Marvin duke it out all the time for the top title. :)

I totally agree. Let's make it objective so there won't be any arguing... it should simply be the female artist with the longest span between #1 records, the biggest selling single worldwide, the highest grossing concert tour, and whoever has a Grammy, Oscar and Emmy. Hmmm... let's see... after careful analysis, I have objectively determined that Cher is Greatest Female Artist of All Time. Case closed. Thank you for your attention to this matter. |

I love Janet! I saw her in concert and it was one of the best days of my life and by far the best concert I had ever been to. She sure knows how to put on a show. That's the same way I feel every time I see her live. My first Janet concert experience was the janet. tour in 1994 and it was amazing. I've been fortunate enough to see her live three times and each time marks an amazing point in my life. Love her! |
