100000watts reports that KQOL Las Vegas has changed to Rhythmic AC. All Access Net News says WRIT Milwaukee-Racine is stunting and will change formats on Tuesday September 5. There is a website www.957needshelp.com which is the same thing Clear Channel did when they changed Classic Rock WDTW Detroit to Country. Both former Oldies stations were popular, with KQOL tied for sixth and WRIT sixth.

I haven't been to Vegas in many years, but I DO remember 'Machine Gun Kelly', who used to work at several legendary LA radio stations (including 93/KHJ, widely regarded as the birthplace of the reinvention of Top 40 radio (now CHR/Pop) in 1965, doing mornings at KQOL.
He later went on to a nice acting career, including playing the hyperactive DJ 'Baby Jesus' in the 1977 version of 'A Star Is Born', with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson, as well as the priest in that Clint Eastwood/Dirty Harry bloodfest entitled 'The Enforcer'.
That contradiction in terms 'rhythmic AC' format strikes again, following recent flips in both LA and Philadelphia.
