After discussion on whether "Cold Hard Bitch" or "Look What You've Done" will be the next Jet single going mainstream, "Cold Hard Bitch" will be going for Adds June 15th, according to Imaginary!
Predictions?

I think "CHB" would flop big time at CHR/Pop. Most stations wouldn't even give it a chance. Plus, it would hurt "Look What You've Done's" chances of being a hit.
I think it's definietely best to hold off for "LWYD."

I remember many at first thought "Cold Hard Bitch" was such a hard song, but now they say after hearing it after "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?" settled in, it's not that much harder really and sounds catchy for general audiences.
"Cold Hard Bitch" probably wouldn't be as big as their first single if it crossed over, but could still go Top 30 in my mind. Considering how fast "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?" has suprisingly leveled off, it wouldn't hurt for this to cross over.

'Look What You've Done' could be HUGE for them. It's excellent.

The pop appeal of CHB comes not even close to that of their first hit. And that's all I've heard up to this point. Between those two though, they'd be best off leaving things the way they are right now.

Between those two though, they'd be best off leaving things the way they are right now. You're perhaps partially right, but I know many who prefer this over "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?" and find the chorus infectious. Also, on the radio version, they have polished up the intro part of the song so it sounds more bouncy, or more retro. "Cold Hard Bitch" indeed sounds like old school rock like AC/DC, something that sounds a bit out of place on current mainstream radio, but the hook is just what radio listeners would like to hear I imagine. Go for the slow song on pop, leave rock to rock. I wish rock still ruled the roost at pop as it once did in the 80's, but it doesn't.

Rock has been showing signs of improvement on CHR/Pop this past year though. I'd say it's in the best shape since 2000, despite the quadruple-digit bullets still all going to Urban and CHR/Rhythmic artists particularly. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

"CHB" is #1 on two rock formats and #2 on the other. Why not?

This might be their 'Going Under' because 'Look What You've Done' is a perfect pop friendly rock ballad, and I can totally see CHR eating it up.

That could be the case, though I think it'll do fairly well on the chart considering it has already outpeaked "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?" on Alternative and Active Rock. Also Alternative singles tend to take a while to crossover into other markets, and "Look What You've Done" has yet to be released there. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I'm sorry, but I still can't see "Cold Hard Bitch" doing well at CHR. "AYGBMG" was a relative flop at the format, so I don't think CHR would be interested in a similar-sounding second single. It will take a ballad for the stations to give Jet another chance.
If "CHB" is released, I predict that it will just barely make the top 40.

Cold Hard Bitch is going for adds June 15th. Very cool, I think that this song will surprise a lot of people and do well of CHR/Pop, it's a good single, I think it'll cross over well.

I think that it'll just shy away from the top 20. #21.

A descent of -1000 shows payola. I don't think the single was payolaed. It would clearly have gone Top 5 if it was. It had consistent +350/+400 rises for over a month, then abruptly lost its bullet. It was a hit across multiple formats (Top 5 on three of the four Rock formats), promoted on various movie ads, and on key commerical ads. It was born to be a Top 10 hit naturally, and I think having four +1000 Urban and CHR/Rhythmic tracks gaining at once is one factor that led to Jet's sudden loss of engine power. It's a fish eat fish world on CHR/Pop, and though some rock artists are still finding success undoubtedly, many are still being swallowed of their optimum potential. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Yeah, I already like this song better than AYGBMG. however, just for the fact that Bitch is in it's title, some very conservative markets could be afraid to play it in the beginning of its roll on to the charts. Either way, it won't be a top 10 smash, but I see it having some life in the Top 20 for a bit.

If conservative markets believe a rap song with profanity is nothing new but it would be shocking to hear a rock song with profanity, that is downright ridiculous. Even if Michael Powell is under the gun here, I still think this can get away with being another moderate-scaled hit for then band. It may also outpeak their first single with it surpassing AYGBMG's performance on chief formats. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

A descent of -1000 shows payola. It could, but it could also mark the end of an era of trendiness. It's usually the dime-a-dozen pop songs that don't ever fall -1000, and this isn't one of those. I think this song is clean.
