I was wondering how Mediabase chose it's stations to watch.
My station WMGN-Macon 95.1 is on R&R's little playlist thing. On Mediabase I never could find it. I looked through songs that my station played alot, etc. but couldn't find it. Like Alanis went for adds on that Sunday(I quess thats when songs are released for adds) and appeared in R&Rs going for adds on the HOT AC that Wensday, the next day my station was playing it, but when it appeared on the top 200 for medibase I couldn't find it in the learders or starters section, and yes my station is a POP station.
Does any one know how mediabase choses it's stations?

Click here and enter either a city or a station's call letters.

WMGB is an Indicator station. It is listed in R&R, but it doesn't contribute to the Mediabase chart. Mediabase chooses its stations to monitor based on audience size. Macon is market #154 and Mediabase won't monitor such a small market.

That's because WIXX is also the #2 station in Appleton, which is a bigger market (#137).

That's because WIXX is also the #2 station in Appleton, which is a bigger market (#137). In that case they should call it an Appleton station (or name both markets) like how they call Westchester's WHUD a New York station (Mediabase doesn't have any stations listed as Westchester).
