anyone think this can do better then "Hey Mama"? I do, at least as far as peak position (it won't have the longevity of "Hey Mama" though).

I think this will hit #1. I first heard it months ago, & knew it would be a smash. If it doesn't make it to the top of the chart, it's only because they waited so long to release it (as the fourth single from the album). Many people are already very familiar with it.

#33 - 1696 Spins +308.
The bullet has gone down a bit. Hopefully it will pick up like "Hey Mama" did in its run

I hope this does well. Not really because I like it, bit because I want it to do better then "Hey Mama" because I hate "Hey Mama." "Shut Up" and "Let's Get It Started" are much better.
I have a question about the beginning of the song. Are they deliberately sampling from "Fallin'" by Alicia Keys? Please tell me they are.

I'd have to think so. It's way too similar to be unintentional.

I love the video to this song. I thought the video for Hey Mama was a little bland and generic, but this video is really good.

I really love this song. It excites me. :) Great song to work out to when I'm pumping iron in the gym.

I'm undecided with this song. I have BEP's Elephunk and this is probably one of my least favorite songs from the album. But it is radio friendly. I'm not sure how well this song will do. I'll predict a peak at number 14, but it could go top 10. I was surprised by the longevity of Hey Mama, so this song could also surprise me.

I like this song but don't love it. Everytime I hear it, it just reminds me again of how surprised I am that "Shut Up" flopped in the USA, when clearly it's the strongest of the 4 singles.

The background chords remind me of Spice Girls' "Wannabe."
I like it.

I like it, though I have not even heard the LP version. It samples "Come & Get Your Love" by Redbone, totally awesome!

It does ring a familiar melody, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Either way, it rocks and deserves top 10 success. :)

Does this song sample Alicia Key's "Fallin"? If not then Alicia needs to take their asses to court!
"I Keep on fallin................innnnnnnnnn" "Lets Get it started...........in heeeeeere"
Also that part when they say "And the base keeps runnin runnin and runnin runnin" is probably what saves the song, because that part always get stuck in my head! But overall, this song is one of those "Let's try really hard to make this a cliche party radio hit".

I think I mentioned the Alicia Keys comparison in this topic. It must be sampled, it's just too similar.

I like the song, but it does sound a little bit too radio friendly. But it makes me wonder why they released it fourth.

Yea, I think they should have subsituted this one with "Shut Up." They could have had three consecutive hit singles in a row and solidified their stardom even more.

I also really like this song. Not as much as 'Hey Mama' but enough! I got their CD a few weeks ago too. Black Eyed Peas have finally made it!!... in my books.

YAH!!! Stacey Ferguson has finally made it big!! Don't say! You see what's happenin'? You're t-t-tellin' lies, because you're st-stuttering! :) (lol I don't know if those are the lyrics because I was horrible at figuring out lyrics back when it was out.)

What i don't get about BEP is that all of their songs are so radio friendly yet it seems like they have to climb up mountains and swim through rivers in order to get into the top ten. "Hey Mama" was probably their most radio friendly song, and a #9 peak is nothing to be ashamed of but when i heard that song i automatically assumed it would fly into the top 5 yet it took forever to even sneak in a couple of weeks in the top ten. And now this song, it's so radio friendly that i can so see this at #1 and it too is having a hard time getting there (even though it probably eventually will get there). Why is radio never sure about their singles? I know if i was a radio DJ i would've but all their singles in heavy rotation.

"Hey Mama" was probably their most radio friendly song I disagree completely.
