Sticky please...
Right now Outkast scores their 3rd top 10 hit with Roses. Avril & Britney might also break top 10.
With You's going recurrent, and Toxic may as well.
Calling's in the top 40.
Janet's in the top 50.

I'm surprised that Roses has started to explode just now.
I'm even more surprised at how well Hey Mama is doing.
I'm glad that Echo is now in the top 40 and it's just been added to Z100's playlist.
There's a lot of surprises lol...
Lenny Kravitz should have been exploding out of the gate IMO. That song screams summer hit.
Burn is going to be the next #1 I think. I don't think that Naughty Girl is going to stay up there long enough to catch up to Hoobastank. Hoobastank should hold on to #1 for at least a couple more weeks.

Avril has broken top 10. . . just in time for the Billboard chart. Will she be able to hold the spot until Sunday?

I wonder if "If I Ain't Got You" will outpeak "You Don't Know My Name".

Β Clearly not, once Britney jumps over.Β The question is, will D12 fall quickly and enough to boost Avril back in the top ten once Britney pushes her back down to no. 11?Β At least she's got a healthy bullet for the moment.Β Whoever said the hype for the CD might help might've been on to something.

With all the promotion Avril is doing this week it is understandable that it would boost her spins some what.
I wonder how many days it will take for Britney to come in the top 10.

Looks like the top 6 will churn in itself for awhile as there's a 1900 spin gap between the 2 craps Yeah and My Band, and D12 is plummeting in spins. It could be out of the top 10 by the end of the week!

As much as I like "My Band," I think it's time it makes its exit to make room for Avril Lavigne.
I saw Avril on Letterman and her performance was exactly the same as the one on SNL, but with frizzy hair.

With that kind of song, I don't see how the performances could be much different from eachother.

Looks like Naughty Girl will be held to the #2 spot, as there's a big gap in spins between it and #1, The Reason, and it's on the verge of losing its bullet. Hoobastank will be on the top at least for another 2 weeks, when Burn will take over.
Roses is making huge leaps now that Hey Ya and The Way You Move have died down...it's at #8 with a nearly +900 bullet. Could this one make it three in a row for OutKast and go all the way? I doubt it personally, but definetely Top 5. On another note, Britney may push Avril out of the Top 10 briefly, but DTM will peak in the Top 10 as D12 is falling fast.
Switchfoot still has a healthy bullet, and may pull a Don't Tell Me and scrape the Top 10 - barely. Mis-Teeq and Yellowcard are both gaining nicely and have entered the Top 20. Look at JoJo go...who would have thought a 13-year-old would do so well? It's not a bad song at all.
Christina Milian is still doing well with Dip It Low and it'll probably enter the Top 20 for the upcoming chart. I'm glad to see her with a successful track... and the Los Lonely Boys have entered the Top 30! And they are showing lots of gains... I think this one just might make it!
Damn it! Maria Mena, Twista and Petey deleted, all among the biggest pieces of tripe on the chart are all set to enter the Top 30. Where's the barf icon when you need it? I'll settle with this... >:(
Towards the bottom of the chart...Trapt, Usher and Alicia Keys have picked back up. I'm looking for these to at least make the Top 30, they're both very cool songs. Why in the hell is radio playing that Ashlee Simpson song?
Looks like Nina Sky and Nickelback will both be cracking the chart soon. I love the former, but Feeling Way Too Damn Good just sounds really boring and I don't think it'll do too well.

I can't wait until Nina Sky charts. I love "Move Ya Body," to death. The vocals are absolutely lovely. It better go top 10.

The way things stand right now, my favorite song on the chart, "This Love", is at number three, with a rather small spin loss. "Burn" will almost certainly push it back to #4 by the final update, but it'll probably hold there for awhile, since "Roses", although definitely Top Five bound, is over 2500 spins away from the top four. Also, there are no huge gains near the Top Five, so "This Love" could be in for a long stay in the Top Five, which is good, since that increases their chances of having the top song of the year (hey, they're only about 16,000 spins away!)

Looking at the chart, I'm surprised Liz PHair is still on the chart. How long has she been there now.
Congrats to Avril!!

Mediabase is counting Avril's "My Happy Ending" under two different titles: that one and "(So Much For) My Happy Ending".

Can anyone with the R&R magazine tell me how Adelayda's "Not Tonight" is doing on the CHR/Pop Indicator chart (and if it's peaked, where did it peak)? Thanks. :)

Avril will probably be no 9 by the next update since she is now only 10 spins away from no 9 and she will probably be no 8 sometime in the next two days. My Happy Ending is now up to no 162 and 178.
Britney is doing great and is not far from no 10. Maybe tomorrow she will be in the top 10. Boom, Boom is doing ok at no 84. Does this indicate that radio think this will be the next single?

Indeed. It is currently looking lijke it will be BEP who will be pushed off the top ten by Britney, not Avril...

Looks like Meant to Live is going to outpeak Falls On Me. I was thinking that this song was on the road to nowhere and it's finally getting the play it deserves.
Surprised that Take My Breath Away fell behind My Immortal. My Immortal is pretty close to becoming recurrent, correct?
Christina Milian has a top 20 song by the end of the week and I'm pleasantly surprised.

Avril's back down to #11 on the 2:34 am update. Can she get back into the top 10 by the final update?

Britney makes a 14-9 jump this morning! She MIGHT be able to make #8 by the final update. Wow, I don't think she has ever made such a jump into the top 10, but at the same time, the bottom part of the top 10 is very weak and her bullet is griwing smaller. She might have to settle for a #8 peak at this rate. :(

So many changes in just one update. I wonder why.
I didn't think DTM would lose that much in just one update.

One thing I can think of regarding "Everytime" is that it finally got played on the countdown shows like Rick Dee's (AT40?). The messed up nature of the countdown shows meant that even though "Everytime" had spent a few weeks in the top 40 of Mediabase and reched close to the top ten it had not yet been played on the countdown shows. Most of the time a song gets its first countdown sho spins when it is in the 20's or 30's on Mediabase.
In the case of "Everytime" it had reached #11 before getting its countdown show boost.
