This is Jay's best song in some time. I see this as a definite top ten.

This will go to the Top 10. I don't really like it though...Its ok...maybe it'll grow on me... I see it as being cliche`.

Really? You guys are so sure it is going Top 10?
It's quite 'out there' as far as rap goes, but maybe that will work to its advantage. It's also something quite different from what people have come to expect of Jay-Z.
It's got a very hard, rough sound to it, which is why Im not so sure it will go Top 10, but hey anything's possible I suppose.

I'd love for it to go Top 10. It's my favorite Jay-Z song since "Girls Girls Girls".

Ugh. My roommate used to listen to this song and it's one of the reasons I'm glad to be back home. ;) I absolutely despise it. In fact, I'd say it's one of the worst songs I've ever heard. I hate how some rappers (and people) just refer to women as "bitches." One of my roommates friends did that and I hated him even more than this song, and I couldn't understand why everyone else liked him. Sorry, going off-topic

I think it can go Top 10 since it's supposedly Jay-Z's last single.

I like this. It should definitely do at least as well as "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" on pop. I'll predict a peak of #13.

Yes, if that can peak in the middle of the 11-20 range, surely this can do better. But for some reason I think this'll fall just short of the Top 10. I say #12. But if it does go Top 10, it'll be from being a big summer smash.

Considering Jay-Z's past pop history, I was shocked at how well "Dirt off Your Shoulders" did! To me, that was one of his worst songs ever released as a single. On the other hand, I think "99 Problems" is one of his best. Right up there with "Can I Get A...," "Big Pimpin," and "I Just Wanna Love Ya." However, I'm not as confident in this songs performance at pop as you guys are. Hopefully you all are right and I'm wrong!

Do you think that the mashup of Jay-Z and LP of 99 Problems and One Step Closer is gonna be played by pop?
I think it'd be cool because both songs work so well together, but I doubt it for the most part.

To me, I like Jay-Z songs when they are released, but I grow sick of them really quick. I'm not sure if anyone else feels that way though.
Thanks, Ben

Stupid stations refusing to let go of Dirt Off Your Shoulder; that killed this on Urban and Rhythmic, too! >:(

That was an incredibly disappointing chart run for Jay-Z. Very surprising, considering that everyone I know loves the song, much more so than "Dirt Off Your Shoulder". I guess DOYS lingering on the chart hurt "99 Problems", and the lyrics were just too edgy for pop stations.

Wow, I just think it's interesting how "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" outlasted this song.

It's done already? Ass!
I haven't even heard "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" yet, but I'm sure I'll catch it eventually, and it'll put me over the fence one way or the other on whether or not I pick up The Black Album. But yeah, the chart runs of the two songs are ridiculous.

And now "99P" has half the airplay of "DOYS".
