Hi Everyone,
I am a Japanese chart maniac. Now, Does someone #1 of the "Radio & Records" album charts from 1975 to 1990 known?
Thanks.

Hmmm... interesting question. R&R currently publishes the album charts compiled by Hits Daily Double, but I'm not sure how long ago they started doing that. Anyone else know?

R & R only specialized in Singles charts by Airplay. They never had an album chart until 2-3 years ago.

The R&R magazine has published the album annual chart from 1975. Incidentally TOP10 albums in 1975 are as follows.
1.Red Octopus- Jefferson Starship 2.Fleetwood Mac- Fleetwood Mac 3.One of These Nights -Eagles 4.Captain Fantastic- Elton John 5.Physical Graffiti -Led Zeppelin 6.Born to Run -Bruce Springsteen 7.Original Soundtrack -10cc 8.Wish You Were Here- Pink Floyd 9.Fandango -ZZ Top 10.Straight Shooter -Bad Company
Moreover, the R&R album chart TOP 40 was carried by Japanese FM magazine every week. I also have weekly album chart from 1985.

R&R used to have a NAC album chart and a Progessive/ Adult Alternative Album chart.
