Bout time we got a new topic....
Jessica Simpson might be in trouble, her bullet is at a pretty mediocre +330 at the moment.
The top ten should stay the same. Milian is speeding up, but Usher is still too far away from her in spins. Mis-Teeq may struggle to make it without a big boost.
Does anyone else expect 'Roses' to lose it's bullet HARD in the near future? I can see it going to like -1000 within the next 2 weeks. However, it seems to be chugging along, surprisingly.

> Why is Ashlee Simpson climbing so high with a bullet of +509? The song is mediocre, however, it'll definetely hit Top 10 and make it to the Top 5. > I see Yellowcard's bullet falling hard soon, after at the most three more weeks of gain. > Britney will take the Top spot within a month, however it could be quicker if Usher and Hoobastank get into the triple digits w/ their falling bullets.

No surprises for Avril as she'll have the biggest week in ads in some time.
The Black Eyed Peas look like they're going to get a top 10 out of Let's Get it Started.
I'm pulling for One Thing. I think it can either pull a Falls on Me or even a Meant to Live.
Looks like Angels is going to underperform. I expected a higher bullet for it. It's not even outdoing How Come. How Come could hit top 15 in the future.
Move Ya Body is exploding and I hope that it eventually outpaces Turn Me On. I hope If I Ain't Got You eventually outpaces Turn Me On.
I cannot see Everytime at #1. I just don't see it going anywhere but down from where it is right now.
Switchfoot is still Meant to Live. That song will never go recurrent. You thought My Immortal lasted long before it hit recurrent lol.
I think Leave (Get Out) is the next song to contend for #1 still. I think it'll sputter out though and it looks like the Reason is going to be the number one for quite a while unless the song starts to take a nose dive.
Confessions Part II is the next one to go for #1 after Leave. I think it will be #1. Turn Me On will probably be the next one.

I can't believe Britney Spears is already up to number three! In a previous CHR/Pop post, someone predicted the song would stop at number eight, since it was so far behind the songs higher than it (or something like that). Looks like Hoobastank is going to be up there for quite awhile now, unless its spin decrease speeds up!

Yeah, that was probably me, and I am sort of glad that I was wrong! :) But, it looks like Everytime is in trouble right now. No one will be cracking the top 2 in the next 2-3 weeks, and Jojo has a larger spin gain over Britney. Plus, with Outrageous set to hit radio in the coming weeks, Everytime might have to settle for a #4 or #3 peak (depending if it can hold it by Sunday). Meanwhile, Kevin Lyttle - WOW! He is blowing up on pop radio. I finally heard the song last night and I was impressed. It is definitely catchy. This could be the Rock Your Body of 2004... or perhaps the next "Milkshake"? Whoa, Juvenile doesn't go for adds for weeks and he may crack the top 50 this week! :o I didn't see this one coming... Fantasia's single goes for adds this week... but it isn't making tremendous spin gains yet. Maybe that will change by the end of the week?

Is anyone else struck by how bad Ashlee Simpson's singing is on that song?
How is this taking off again?
Switchfoot looks like they will peak at #10 or #9, but this is a great run for them, even if it did possibly ruin a second release.
Nickelback is surging, and I stand by my prediction of another hit for them. I think this song will at least go top20 and has an outside chance of top10.
Are 3 Doors Down going anywhere with this new burst for Away From the Sun? Is this going to prevent a 4th single release to pop?

I wouldn't expect another release anywhere from the album, seeing as how Away From the Sun is the 4th overall single. So AFTS won't prevent anything other than them dropping off the chart sooner.

-I can't believe Turn Me On has such a high bullet. . . it's one of the worst songs on the radio right now.
-Avril and BEP will definitely crack top 10 again with their latest singles. . . I think Avril will eventually beat out BEP though.
-Ashlee Simpson is so much better than her sister, she deserves a top 10 hit.

Nah, they should get to #8, maybe even #7 by the end of the week. If the song loses points slow in its downward trend on the chart, it may very well break the longevity record (well, for the 20/20 recurrent rule anyway). Or possibly the AT40 longevity record, since they don't yet have a recurrent rule. 3 Doors Down's record might be short-lived.

I really like the Ashlee Simpson song. Her voice, while not technically great, is perfect for t hat song. I'd love to see it go top 5.

As of this morning's update, Usher and Hoobastank are over 1600 spins ahead of #3. Has there ever been that big of a gap?

I'm thinking error, because if you look at the top 20 stations playing, the highest station is like 50 spins, and w/ the way the top stations drop down in # of spins, there is no way that they would've gotten to 1800 spins last week. Also, 1800 would put them almost into the top 30, and I've never heard of them til I watched the Pepsi smash last week. I'm still not impressed even after that.

As of this morning's update, Usher and Hoobastank are over 1600 spins ahead of #3. Has there ever been that big of a gap? Probably last July, when "Unwell" was #3 and "Bring Me To Life" was #2. EDIT: I just checked and the two songs were only 1469 spins apart.

That's still a big gap. Looks like Britney Spears ain't going any higher. Has she ever had a song peak at number three?

Ugh at Juvenile trying to recreate the magic of Back That Thing Up.
This is like Back That Thing Up part 94 or something...

This is how sad the state of pop has gotten. Juvenile will probably get a top 10 with this.
