How do you think this will do at CHR/Pop? I'll have to wait to see how "Talk About Our Love" does.

Won't even crack the top 40. What was Atlantic thinking?

If this song is a hit at Urban and Rhythmic I can see it getting at least top 40.

I can't. The song would fit in well on the Urban format, but it'd even seem out of place on rhythmic and it would just sound ridiculous on pop. What she needs is a big hit, and there are pleanty of those on Afrodisiac, which is why this makes no sense. She still needs that song that will make this album big - had Talk About Our Love been a hit then I wouldn't mind as much. I am just so sick of all of these good albums flopping beacause of horrible single choices. Looking back, I would've released I Tried, Necessary, Finally, and Afrodisiac, but what's the point in what i want her to release? If Who Is She 2 U is up next, this is just another Damita Jo/Try This waiting to happen.

I have no idea? I guess in this case it's pressure from one producer, but it doesn't take a genious to see that a medicore song will not perform well as a first single. It should be such an easy decision. On Try This, Charmbracelet, Damita Jo, whatever...there were all first singles and none of them were released. I mean, as much as I hate him, here's an example: Usher releases Confessions Part II as his first single. No one would care about him right now. These incapable record companies need to send demos out to radio stations, hold listening sessions for people on the streets, and stop ruining established artists's careers. Avril and Britney got off lucky becaue their record companies weren't completely brain dead and released good second singles. Who knows what will happen with Brandy...

It just seems so obvious and clearcut that there were better choices for the first single and are better choices for the second single. Its such a good album and I fear it will flop because they seem to WANT to release the worst songs on the cd.

No matter what they release, she wouldnt be BLAZIN up the charts lol. I agree. After "Talk About Our Love," a song with Usher is her only hope. If this one flops, they should just wrap this project up.

What?! :o. This album is GOOD and it can't go to waste. Usher isn't going to help this song, it's still just an album track. Even some program directors on The Velvet Rope message board said "Afrodisiac" is her Toxic and that "Who I Am" and "Who Is She 2 U" are good album tracks but would fail horribly as singles. I honestly believe that with a strong hit such as Afrodisiac or I Tried, her album would sell. People don't even know this album is coming out.

Egads! Is he trying to kill his career by overexposure or something?? Because you gotta believe that the downside to all this will loom rather large.

B96 (Chicago) added Who is She 2 U to its playlist... It does not contain Usher at all. I guess Jive/Usher would not let her release the duet.
