Freddie wrote this one with Barry Eastmond in 1994. Whitney Houston did a cover for the Christmas album she released last year. It's a nice song.

Oh yeah, I liked this song a lot. I had a lot of trouble finding out who did the original. Since the beginning sounded a lot like "Can You Stop The Rain" by Peabo Bryson, I thought it was he who sang it. Or possibly Billy Ocean (since the beginning reminded me of Ocean's late 1986 hit "Love Is Forever"). Of course, Luther Vandross also crossed my mind, but someone finally chimed in with Freddie Jackson.
I love the song because I have it on a Christmas compilation tape I made back in the mid-90s and it reminds me of 1998, when I listened to it while riding my bike in my favorite wooded area while listening to it (the 1998 pre-holiday period (late November - early December) was unusually warm, with many days in the mid to upper sixties. It felt weird to be listening to Christmas music in such warm weather!) Plus, it's such a beautiful song.

Freddie's version is good. Whitney sounded rough on her version.
