"The 12 Days of Christmas" By the Disney Princess

I was lsitening to the Disney Princess Christmas Album, the CD that I bought it since October, I was listening to one of the Princess including Cinderella, Snow White, Jasmine, Ariel, Aurora and Belle singing "The 12 Days of Christmas". That song was kinda weird when I first heard it. The lyrics went "On the first days of Christmas my true love gave to me, a magical shell of the sea". What is that mean? :o I thought it says "A partridge in a pear tree" instead of "A magical shell of the sea". That was so crazy when I heard that song from the Princess album.
