According to FMQB, this goes for adds on the pop format sometime in August.
It's catchy and almost dance-y.
That doesn't always = success.
Will not chart.

I like this song a lot. I'm hoping it will chart though. It does seem to lose its appeal after awhile though.
Thanks, Ben

I don't like this, and also don't think it'll chart.
It tries to stand out like Franz Ferninand and Modest Mouse have as of late, but in comparison it just sounds lame and contrived in its efforts. Lyrically it sounds all too familiar to some lyrics of The Cars, etc.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I'm surprised this song is doing as well as it is. Currently at #48 it has a pretty good chance of at least hitting the top 40. I don't think it will get much farther than that though.
My prediction: #33

Heard and saw the video a couple of times and was kinda like bleh, but this one grew to be one of my favorites. Don't forget, they're NOT British! I hear there are 2 versions? If anyone could hook me up with the other that'd be great! Here's the one I have: s2.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=5788F5B98DECEDE755A18128BCA64226

This is one of my favorite songs of the past month or so, and I think it can do better on Pop than most people are expecting. I say Top 30, maybe even Top 20. It's already # 31 on Hot AC, so I think it has potential- to quote the song.

Rick Dees played it as this week's sure shot on the Weekly Top 40.

It tries to stand out like Franz Ferninand and Modest Mouse have as of late, but in comparison it just sounds lame and contrived in its efforts. If it weren't for "Take Me Out" growing on me, I'd be saying the exact opposite of this statement. I don't see how this is contrived at all. The lead singer's voice is dark and haunting in a stylishly pop sort of way. And the guitar work pretty much comes out of nowhere to dominate the song. Yeah, it does sound a bit out of left-field and if you listen to it too much you could get annoyed, but I think this stands out much better than any other alternative crossover this year. That being said, I don't see this going very far thru the top 30. I think it'll probably be similar to what Audioslave did with "Like A Stone". It just gets high enough to make an impact and make itself known to listeners, but not enough to overexpose it and supersaturate stations. Sort of like whetting the appetites of top 40 listeners. Although it would be nice to see this reach the top 10. It'd be nice change of pace from what's currently been clogging it up.

And of course, that's what I'd like to see happen to this, as well as every crossover song that I like. Franz and Modest Mouses' chart runs were perfect, and I think this one will get a little higher--maybe #24 or so, which is alright.

Caught this at the beginning of Dees' countdown this morning...
For the naysayers who don't think this song can make waves at pop, two words for you...

I love this whole movement of great songs from Alternative that are having success on POP, albeit modest (if Modest Mouse would have reached Top 20, I could've died a happy man, now I'll just die satisfied) hit. Could A Perfect Circle be far behind? Here's hoping.

I don't think Crash46 would want CHR-Pop to play A Perfect Circle.
