since i`m from europe , i was wondering what`s your opinion on singles sales in the us. i know it`s extremely low and i `m quite unhappy about it. I`m bored with all the radi sharade going on and all the payola and business record companies paying radios to play their song. It`s quite unfair and utterly predictable . At least when people buy (were buying) singles it really showed what consumers liked. All in all it was their money and people choose how to spend it and who to spend it on.
Can we somehow ask the labels to put singles on the shelves? And i know there is a downloads singles chart but when will it be implemented into the billboard hot 100 if ever?

I can tell you that by and large Americans don't buy singles, and that's why record companies here won't put them out.
I love the idea of singles sales, and I wish we had more to buy. It's a great way to show support for your favorite artist, and a great way to get otherwise rare tracks from them.
I think if the prices were reasonable, singles would sell well.
