This was taken from one of Monica's Fan Sites.
She was in Detroit for Coats for Kids a Charity and they played BMH twice and she said that's the new single and she excited about it. Three different people who attended the event to see Monica confirm this info and were going to post it as well.
Here are the Quotes
"Yall...........he's foreal. I was just about to post the info. First off...Monica looked really good in person today....even with the lil pony tail she always rock, LOL. Anyway, Monica did say herself that BMH is the new single, so I guess we'll be hearing it on the radio soon.....if she foreal, LOL. Yall know how J records and Monica do!! Ummmmm also, Monica did sing for a second. They kept askin' her to sing something...so she asked the crowd what they wanted her to sing...and most people said AOM....so that's what she sang. She started off real good....then this run she did was off a lil.....but she quickly recovered.... . Other than that, I was just happy to see my girl in person once again. I tried to get a pic with her, but she bounced real quick in her cadillac stretch limo......... "
"DAMN! I WANTED tO pOST THIS I'm From Detroit And this Post Is True "
What's your views on this. I don't know how it will do on urban and I really don't care. Because she already have them on lock. It's the Pop audience she really needs to go after. :)

My opinion:
This idea is dumb.

Monica's my girl, but she needs to head back to the studio and give us some new stuff.
I like how someone said she did a run and it was a little off. No singer can come to Detriot and do a riff or run incorrect because they will hear about it. Detroit is home to the riff and run QUEEN, Karen Clark Sheard.

Hey, what's wrong with this? I always liked that song!
"U should've known better" was a hit when the album was supposedly over. I say go for it.
I think there won't be a new Monica album until at least mid 2005 or later anyway.

I'd prefer another single from After The Storm. I love it when artists release a lot of singles from an album, instead of putting a new album out every year or 2. Personally, I think an artist makes audiences tired of them when they release too many albums close together.

I hope she repackages her album to include "All Eyez On Me" and bonus tracks from the "AEOM" album.

it's not that the song is awful, it's that the lead single of this album dropped like 19 months ago, and even the third single peaked a few months ago... on top of that, "Breaks my heart" was toyed with as a release back in the day. if they release it first quarter 2005, that will be THREE YEARS after it was almost released originally. it doesn't make sense.

If she does releases something else it should be "Ain't Gon' Cry No More," Rodney Jerkins is making a comeback.

I doubt this is true, and if it is, this news deserves a huge WTF!?!
J Records has really fumbled with Monica. They took a great singer, gave her marginal material, almost released one album and backed out, then released a second album on the back of a minor hit. J Records did almost no promotion for this whatsoever. And, then, to top it off, they worked "You Should've Known Better" to radio close to a year after the first single went D.O.A.
I seriously think Monica would be better off at a much smaller record label, where she might not be so successful, but will certainly be the center of attention and promotion.

"So Gone" not catching on at Pop isn't their fault-- but that song was not a minor hit, it was the #1 Urban song of 2003, even beating "In da club". the fact that USKB was a hit that late in the game is a testament to monica i think, it did well based off her voice and personality, not a big push by J records.

PREACH!!! Monica is a GREAT talent and a fan favorite, that's why "USKB" did so well that late into the album. I do agree that Monica may and I say may need to switch labels. She needs new managment more than anything
