Two pairs of siblings--Jessica and Ashlee Simpson and Hilary and Haylie Duff--are both in the top 40 this week. Have two sets of siblings ever appeared in the top 40 at the same time before, or is this the first time?

I'm sure Janet and Michael have been in the top 40 at the same time as two other siblings.

There's also Nina Sky, who are twins.

I meant siblings who aren't in the same group (unlike Nina Sky or 98 Degrees).

I'm not sure if they charted at the same time, but in 1987, the Whispers (featuring twin brothers) were on the charts with "Rock Steady" and Levert (Gerald and Sean are brothers) with "Casanova".

Hilary and Haylie are in the same song. So are Nina Sky. Yes, but they're not in the same group. In other words, they're not in a group named "Hilary & Haylie Duff," they're just collaborating for that specific song. --DanG

When we're looking at the topic title and we're talking about a "set of siblings" who are currently on the chart. Then Nina Sky would qualify, grouping two sisters whether they're in a group or solo acts are by definition a set of siblings.
