I don't like this song at all. I hope it doesn't do very well. Agreed. This song is so bland and I change the station whenever it comes on. HOW this is #1 at ALternative is beyond me, especially with so many other good songs on that chart right now.

I kind of like this song, it will do nothing on pop though. This song seems to give out the same message as "I Hate Everything About You."

I don't see why this wouldn't do just as well as "IHEAY".
But I agree, this song sucks.

It is awful and one of the worst hits of 2004.
However, considering it has bested "(I Hate) Everything About You" on both Rock formats and that (somehow) was able to go Top 30 on CHR/Pop, this just may have a shot at finding its way onto this chart as well.
Don't be ultimately suprised if this could do better than (IH)EAY.
My Prediction: #23
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I like(d) this song Am I the only one? Three Days Grace being Canadian, it was released here in Canada months ago...probably around New Year's? But anyway, I like both IHEAY and this song, this song isn't much different than its predecessor but it's pretty cool...I liked it... I didn't know it was #1 on Rock radio though, that's good

I don't see why this wouldn't do just as well as "IHEAY". Because "IHEAY" didn't do that well.

Hmm. It's looking like a song I have to root for.
It has a totally simplistic riff with the same 6 notes played constantly almost throughout the song, the lyrics are absolutely nothing special and borderline cheezy, overall it's the same type of post-grunge that's been unmatched by thousands of attempts throughout the last 10 years. And yet, I like the song. I guess that's a perfectly defined "guilty pleasure".

I could see how it would wind up #1, but what I don't see is why it had to replace Modest Mouse - Float On as #1.
That pisses me off.

I don't see why everyone hated (I Hate) Everything About You. It was an awesome song that really should have been another Headstrong or Numb, but no, CHR MD's had to stomp on it. >:(
This one isn't nearly as good as (IH)EAY. It might hit the Top 40, but not go too far. My Prediction: #38

Is there really any need for a Headstrong or a Numb, ever?

Is there really any need for a Headstrong or a Numb, ever? If there's an epitome to a supposed death of rock music, then those bands were surely some of the most responsible for digging its grave much deeper...

I know I can't expect the Smiths, Joy Division or Radiohead to rule radio with an iron fist, but yeah, Headstrong, Numb, and THE REASON didn't do anything good for any format.
In my personal opinion of course.

I can understand why people hate this song, the previous song, their album, and, frankly, the band itself, so I'm not surprised to be in the minority here...it's a good song.
The words "guilty pleasure" definitely apply, and while I don't quite know how this one got to #1 considering the tide seens to be changing on the alternative format (maybe a little) with Franz Ferdinand, Modest Mouse, The Killers, etc., I'd rather have this be #1 than another Linkin Park chart-topper. They need some time off, for my sake and theirs.
That said, I don't think it'll do as well as "I Hate Everything About You". I'd be surprised if it reached the top 50.

I don't like it. I searched the Mediabase CHR-Pop chart page for it and the computer didn't find anything. I'd be surprised if it had 0 spins.

I don't like it. I searched the Mediabase CHR-Pop chart page for it and the computer didn't find anything. I'd be surprised if it had 0 spins. That is odd. The most recent Mediabase Song Analysis shows 24 spins at CHR/Pop this week.

WBBO (B98.5 - Monmouth / Ocean, NJ) is behind most, if not all, of "Just Like You" 's spins. Naturally. They're an alternative rock station on the CHR panel. And thank God for that.

This song is bland, derivative, cheesy, unoriginal...yet I can't help liking it because it describes how I feel about a certain person in my life.

Though my opinion hasn't shifted on the song, I actually wouldn't be suprised if this does go Top 20, come to think of it.
It is terribly bland, but has several key punchlines. First, the "You know I could be just like you!" and the "You thought you were standing beside me, you were only in my way..."
Being able to identify multiple ones such as these can shape up a big hit. This is so repetitive, it can feel like a staple.
I actually feel this may have an outside shot at going Top 10. But my revised predicted peak will be #13.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

If "(I Hate) Everything About You" could make the Top 30, there's no reason why this can't make the chart. This is one of the better rock songs out there right now, in my opinion.

This is closing in on the Top 50.
It has a +99 bullet and is currently at #57.
It continues to gain consistent adds as well.
I'm feeling this could actually best "(I Hate) Everything About You" and go Top 20. (IH)EAY is a slower song in comparison, while "Just Like You" has the relentless, repetitive lick and both a bouncy verse and chorus that envelopes much of the track.
This is more radio friendly in comparison and quite infamously infectious. Don't be suprised if this hits, possibly even having an outside shot at heading Top 15.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton
