The song is pretty good, I would probably like it better if someone else sang it in a slightly different style.

Cool song but I don't think it has enough "umph" to do anything.

DIDO Sand in My Shoes Producer(s): Rollo, Dido Writer(s): D. Armstrong, R. Nowels Publisher(s): Warner/Chappell, Future Furniture, EMI-April (ASCAP) Genre: AC Label/Catalog Number: Arista 82876 (CD promo) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: August 28, 2004
As phenomenal as 2003's "White Flag" was for Dido, the artist pretty much remains a one-trick pony. Previous single "Don't Leave Home" was not particularly distinguishable from most of the songs on current album "Life for Rent." The same holds true for the new "Sand in My Shoes." Dido adds tempo to this cut, but it's not enough to take listeners to any new place. A nice background brunch cut, but purely vanilla in flavor.—CT

Maybe if they make a remix of it, it will do something.
I'm still can't see why DLH only made it to #21 on HOT AC that was one of Dido's best songs.

I love this song. I heard a fantastic remix of it in a store the other day, but I have no idea who did it.

I love this song. While it's no masterpiece like "White Flag", I certainly don't agree with the billboard review. It deserves to do really well.

Did this go for adds this week or something? This is Taking Off for about 10 stations all at once, after almost nothing up til now.

I really hope this takes off, but the chances are very slim. :(

I wouldn't be surprised if Sand In My Shoes actually picks up in November. I think it could be a very "HOT AC" fall. White Houses is starting to pick up, Sudany Morning (Maroon 5) will go for adds, and with Sarah's new distributing deal, we can expect a push for World On Fire.

It's doing a lot better than I expected. Currently at #92 with a bullet of +55. I really like this song, so it's nice to see.
Still, I don't think she can pose a real threat to the top 40. The song's just too grown-up for the pop chart.

I love this song. It's competing against White Flag for my favorite track from Life For Rent.
#75, +7 (161 spins).
Doesn't look very promising. :'(
