Is it a chart record for Mariah that her first 11 singles went top 5? I'm almost positive it is

What is the LONGEST running #1 on ANY Billboard chart? Is there a 30 week or more?

yeah lots of them. The catalog album chart for instance has a bunch.
The regular BB200 has also had a few albums top 30 weeks (Thriller, West Side Story, Rumours, etc.)
Other minor charts without a lot of turnover or that allow reentries would have them too (can't think of them at the moment but they exist)

I was listening to an old AT40 broadcast this weekend from 1987, where Casey announced that with Stand By Me still on the chart at the time, that Ben E King became the ONLY artist up to that point to appear on top 10's in 4 decades.
Since it has happened a couple more times that I can think of:
Madonna(80's, 90's, 00's, 10's) Michael Jackson (60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's) ----> I Want You Back was in the top 10 on 12-27-1969
Any others?

This might be a silly but funny piece of chart trivia but, did you know that after Duran Duran's "The Wild Boys" made a healthy 12-7-4 move on the Hot 100 in December 1984, and didn't hit number one, it cast a mysterious spell that lasted for almost 20 years. Every song that made that 12-7-4 move was destined to never hit number one.
The affected songs were: Genesis "Throwing It All Again" Prince "Sign O' The Times" Richard Marx "Don't Mean Nothing" INXS "Devil Inside" Milli Vanilli "Girl You Know It's True" Pebbles "Giving You The Benefit" Madonna "I'll Remember" Celine Dion "It's All Coming Back To Me Now"
Even Jesus Jones' "Real Real Real" made a similar 12-7-7-4 move, and it didn't hit number one either.
The reign of terror was ended by uhm, the Terror Squad! as "Lean Back" moved 12-7-4 in mid-2004, reaching the number one spot.

Here's one I'm been wondering about after the past few weeks: what's the fewest number of words in the titles of Top 10 songs at any one time? Thanks to all these one-word titles lately, it's been 16 words since July 26:
Rude (one word) Fancy (one) Problem (one) Am I Wrong (three) Stay With Me (three) Wiggle (one) All of Me (three) Maps (one) Summer (one) Latch (one) Chandelier (one, replaced "Wiggle" [thank God] but didn't change the total)

Billboard has an interesting article about 15 great artists that never had a Billboard 200 #1 album: What do David Bowie, Marvin Gaye and Kiss have in common? They've all failed to crack the top spot on the Billboard 200.In light of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ achievement of earning its first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 -- after a nearly 37-year wait -- what other acts are still without a chart-topper? Check out this list of the veteran artists who are still waiting to top Billboard's albums chart: David Bowie
The rock legend recently tallied his highest-charting album ever with 2013’s surprise release The Next Day. It’s one of his seven top 10 albums, and four to reach the top five. He also got close to the top with the No. 3-peaking Station to Station in 1976 and the No. 4 Let’s Dance in 1983. The latter set contains the smash title track, which is one of his two No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 singles. Marvin Gaye
Gaye’s most iconic albums include 1971’s What’s Going On and 1973’s Let’s Get It On, though neither topped the Billboard 200. They reached Nos. 6 and 2, respectively. The Who
The rock band has notched 10 top 10 albums, and even hit No. 2 -- twice. 1973’s Quadrophenia spent one week at No. 2, behind Elton John’s Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, and 1978’s Who Are You logged two weeks in the runner-up slot, behind the Grease soundtrack. Cher The singer/actress has four solo No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, yet a No. 1 album continues to prove elusive. She’s getting closer though: In 2013, her Closer to the Truth album debuted and peaked at No. 3 -- her highest rank ever as a solo artist. (When she was one-half of Sonny & Cher, the duo hit No. 2 with 1965’s Look at Us.) Sheryl Crow
The singer/songwriter has a charting history that chart geeks dream about: four No. 2 albums (in a row!), among a total of nine top 10 sets, yet, she’s missing a No. 1 album. The nine-time Grammy Award winner strung together four straight No. 2 sets between 2002 and 2010 with C’mon, C’mon, The Very Best of Sheryl Crow, Wildflower and Detours. Her breakthrough debut album, Tuesday Night Music Club, peaked at No. 3. Sting
With the Police, Sting spent 17 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with the mega-selling Synchronicity in 1983. After that success, Sting went solo, and notched 10 top 10 albums, with three of them hitting No. 2 (The Dream of the Blue Turtles, The Soul Cages and Ten Summoner’s Tales). Aretha FranklinThe Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, is a titan on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart -- with 10 No. 1s (the most of any woman). However, over on the all-genre Billboard 200, the highest she has climbed is No. 2 (twice). She did it with 1967’s I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You and 1968’s Aretha: Lady Soul. Willie Nelson
Country legend Willie Nelson got close to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with his No. 2-peaking effort Always On My Mind back in 1982. It spent four weeks at No. 2, lodged behind Asia’s self-titled album. Nelson has recently made waves on the Billboard 200, charting two top 10 albums in less than a year: the all-star collaborative album To All the Girls… hit No. 9 in 2013, and Band of Brothers debuted and peaked at No. 5 on the chart dated July 5, 2014. Tina Turner The legendary diva made a spectacular comeback in 1984 with her Private Dancer album, which contained the No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 single “What’s Love Got To Do With It.” The album -- which spawned a total of five top 40 hits on the Hot 100 -- spent 11 weeks stuck at No. 3 (behind Prince and the Revolution’s Purple Rain at No. 1 and Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the U.S.A. at No. 2). Turner has since collected two more top 10 sets, with 1986’s Break Every Rule (No. 4) and 2005’s All the Best (No. 2). Brad Paisley Like Sheryl Crow, country king Brad Paisley has earned four No. 2 albums on the Billboard 200 -- without a No. 1. His quartet of runner-ups comprise half of his top 10 entries. He has visited the No. 2 slot with Time Well Wasted, American Saturday Night, This Is Country Music and Wheelhouse. James TaylorThe five-time Grammy Award winner has clocked 11 top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 chart, rising as high as No. 2 with Mudslide Slim and the Blue Horizon in 1971. Dr. Dre
Though Dr. Dre has a small catalog of solo material -- just two solo studio albums -- he’s made them count. The Chronic spent six non-consecutive weeks at No. 3 in 1993, while Dr. Dre's 2001 lingered for three weeks at No. 2. The latter was stuck behind Santana’s unstoppable Supernatural album, which reigned for 12 weeks at No. 1. Kiss Even though the famed rock act doesn’t have a No. 1, they can still lay claim to the feat of being the American band with the most top 40 albums on the Billboard 200, with 26. Of those whopping 26 top 40 efforts, nine of them reached the top 10. They got closest to No. 1 with 2009’s Sonic Boom, which debuted and peaked at No. 2. Jewel The singer/songwriter’s Pieces of You is one of the biggest-selling albums ever (11 million, according to the Recording Industry Association of America [RIAA]), but she’s sadly missed the top slot with all of her releases. Pieces of You peaked at No. 4 for two non-consecutive weeks in 1997, while she visited the top 10 five more times. She topped out at No. 2 with 2003’s 0304. Bob MarleyThe reggae great hit the top 10 just once, with 1976’s Rastaman Vibration, which reached No. 8. Marley’s mega-selling greatest hits package, Legend: The Best of Bob Marley and the Wailers (15 million and counting, according to the RIAA), reached No. 54 upon its initial release in 1984, but has since climbed as high as No. 18, in 2012. As is the case of a few of those albums, it is not about where you peak, it is about where you end up.
A few of those albums are much bigger than many that actually did hit #1

One of the most fascinating or strange occurrences on the Billboard Hot 100 belongs to Billy Ocean. He has had three number 1 songs out of 11 chart entries, and all of them have 8 words in their title: "Caribbean Queen (No More Love On The Run)", "There'll Be Sad Songs (To Make You Cry)" and "Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car".
It seems #1 only had love for 8, as two other singles came close and peaked at number 2: the 1-word-long "Loverboy" and 9-word-long "When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going". Also, that love only applied for the 80s, as his 1990 single "I Sleep Much Better (In Someone Else's Bed)" didn't chart.

Dr. Dre would easily debut at #1 with his next album... whenever that comes out.

^The new one (probably?) won't chart, so his prior record should stay in tact.

Radio Songs 10/4 34 35 29 54 Counting Stars, OneRepublic 1 Streaming 10/4 46 42 37 55 Counting Stars, OneRepublic 6 Hot 100 10/4
47 45 41 66 Counting Stars, OneRepublic 2
Last week, Counting Stars was on its 52nd week on the AC chart, then surprisingly dropped this week. (How many songs are there in the AC charts? Bb.com only shows 15, I don't know if it ranks 30 or 50 or 100 songs. CS was #8 last week.) What other songs have charted for more than a year in the relevant charts (airplay & streaming)? To add, CS has been in the top 40 on AI since 10/26/2013 (top 50 on 10/14/2013). Just a month left to be in the top 40 for a year, although staying for a month more is highly improbable as of now.

I believe AC songs go recurrent and drop off when they go below the top ten. I think the full chart is 30 spots.

I believe AC songs go recurrent and drop off when they go below the top ten. I think the full chart is 30 spots. Found this on BB's website ( www.billboard.com/biz/billboard-charts-legend ): Descending songs are removed from Adult Contemporary, Adult Top 40 and Adult R&B after 20 weeks if ranking below No. 15, after 26 weeks if ranking below No. 10, or after 52 weeks if ranking below No. 5. They had to do that because songs were spending over 100 weeks on the AC chart in the early 2000s.
