I'm rooting for Avril but it looks like it might be Maroon 5 and Avril might have her first #2 hit.

Go Avril! This is her best song in a long time.

I think the bigger question is, what will be the next #1 AFTER these songs? The rest of the top ten looks dead to me. Black Eyed Peas' song has been out for a while and should lose it's bullet soon, and there is no way Lil flip or Huston will get there. The only other one left is Ryan Cabrera and that's kinda pushing it.
As for the top 20, Ciara has a strong bullet but these types of songs don't usually last that long (ex: Milkshake), and that leaves us with Linkin Park but that song has lost it's bullet before and could again, and it needs to gain faster because....
The rest of the chart: Wow what a logjam it is down there! Usher/Alicia, Christina, Christina/Nelly, Destiny's Child, Ashlee, Britney is gonna be there too. One of these needs to be the next #1 for the sake of freshness.
Avril/Maroon 5 will hog the top 2 spots for 6 weeks or so before these herd of new songs take over.

I think it's safe to say Maroon 5 will be number one for a week followed by Avril for two or three weeks (and she deserves it). As for the next number one, it will probably be My Boo, followed by Shadow, followed by Lose My Breath. Britney will go top 10 and Carwash will too, but I don't know if either of them will go top 5. Same goes for the Christina and Nelly song. Both Christina songs are good, but I don't think they'll hit number one. I think Avril will probably have the first number one of the New Year with Nobody's Home, that's bound to be huge. Christina Milian's new one is a sure fire top 10 as well.

I see "My Boo" stalling at #3, and there is no way "Shadow" is going to hit #1. Destiny's Child will be #1 in about a month, the song is exploding. I don't know what radio is going to do with Christina A.'s two songs. I see radio jumping on Britney's new track, especially as she hasn't had a video in 3 months (for her, that's a looong time!). Plus anticipation of her wedding will surely add some steam to this song.

I think its entirely possible that both of Aguilera's new tracks will miss top 10-but both will hit top 20. I see britney having a MATM run-this is nowhere as good as Toxic and should place lower because of that. Shadow-eh Im hoping it stalls but I think it will easily make top 3.
