Shania's NEW "Party for Two" VIDEOS will premiere on September 27. The pop version will premiere on MuchMoreMusic Canada that night at 7pm ET, while the country version will go into rotation at CMT that day (times unknown). CMT's formal premiere should be in the last 1/2 hour of their Top 20 Countdown show Sept 30, 6-8pm ET/PT. GAC premiere tba soon... Still no confirmation for VH1. Label previously announced both country & pop versions would debut in September, but with the just announced (too late) radio add dates at other formats (Oct 8 Hot AC & Nov 9 Top 40), the USA pop version video premiere may be late too... Both CMT Canada and MuchMoreMusic Canada aired unannounced teasers tonight for their own new Shania interviews (filmed last week in Switzerland). Expect to see both channels broadcast full-length Shania interview specials closer to album release, along with CMT US, dates tba.

Well, its official add is November 9th. Way to late I think to go anywhere, we shall see. The video for the pop version is fantastic!! Maybe they will make a splash on VH1 and this song can have moderate success on Pop radio.

What does that time of release have to do with anything? It it is promoted right it could do very well. It is much better than the crap you here on pop today anyway.

I like this track. Great for Shania. Although I've liked most of her stuff from "Up!", her last few singles were disappointing.

You're right - actually, it's better this way: If the country version w/Billy doesn't fare well (it's currently Top 20, so to not fare well it would pretty much have to stop dead in its tracks), what's to say the Pop version w/Mark will?

For those interested, this is said to be the Cover of Shania's "Greatest Hits" album... It looks very cheap.

Wait, wait, wait...Billy who? Mark McGrath is on the pop version? Confusing... Who's on the country version?
I heard the pop version and it sounds crappy. The country version--considering I'm not into country--is way better.

Can someone repost a link to the pop version? I haven't heard it yet, I'd like to.
Thanks in advance! :)

Hmm...they're both enjoyable, but I'm not sure I'll chart either for now...they need to grow on me.

The pop video for "Party For Two" - featuring Shania and Mark McGrath - had its official debut on VH1 today, Monday October 18. Saw the video.... kind of good, kind of corny. And you can tell Shania has been spending some time in Europe because she has a typical semi-fauxhawk which was a scary but common sight on both sexes when I was living in Italy.

"Party" is on Taking Off on Hot AC. It will take some days for this song to catch and start to take off..

Usually I like Shania but this is absolute rubbish. It's like a kids song. I hate their pantomime expressions in the video, I hate Mark's voice in it cuz it sounds so weak and most of all, I hate the way that Shania feels the need to shake her head from side to side like some spastic all of the time. Every time I hear this song I have that image burned into my head of her just looking DAFT.

I doubt it will become some big pop hit. None of Shania's Up! tracks hit big at pop. But if she can get decent Hot AC and AC play, she'll be OK.

I don't like McGrath on the song or the song itself but what I do like is Shania Twains voice. She is one of those great singers whose voice' unmistakable pleasant tone grabs your attention every time you hear it. Its worth listening to just to hear her voice. If you think about Shanias voice when you listen to faux-singers like Ashlee Simpson or Lindsay Lohan - Shania really would sound better singing the directions on a soup can than anything the Faux-sisters could ever spit out.

This song is not good. The quality I used to expect from Shania is not displayed in this song.
I do like some of her old songs. But this one is not that great.

Usually I like Shania but this is absolute rubbish. It's like a kids song. I couldn't have said it better. It feels like it was the single off the 'Home on the Range' soundtrack. WTF? It will not do s#!t on POP. But still it one of those 'cheesy guilty pleasure' songs.
