"Slow dancing in a Buring Room" sounds exciting. I wonder how that will sound like.

I have listened to the album 2 times straight through and it has definitely grown on me. My favorite by far is Belief...I love the point behind it and the lyrics are amazing. I also really like Vultures, Stop this Train, Dreaming With a Broken Heart, and In Repair.

I'm definitely looking forward to the release of this in a few weeks. I haven't really heard the 1st single anywhere, but from the few times I have heard, I do like it a lot.

Aug 27, 5:26 PM EDT Laryngitis Forces John Mayer to Cancel HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) -- Laryngitis forced pop singer John Mayer to back out of a performance Saturday night.
Thousands of fans waited at the gates of the Dodge Music Center before organizers decided co-headliner Sheryl Crow and opening act Mat Kearney could go on without Mayer.
The Grammy-winning singer, who was born in Bridgeport and raised in Fairfield, has hits including "Your Body is a Wonderland" and "Daughters."
"John feels terrible about the sudden cancellation and he will plan to be back in Connecticut soon," according to a press release, which attributed his absence to a "sudden onset" of laryngitis. Fans who did not cross the entrance gate and have their tickets ripped are entitled to a refund.

Rolling Stone Exclusive: How To Be John Mayer’s GirlfriendIn the new issue of Rolling Stone (on newstands later this week) John Mayer pontificates to writer Brian Hiatt on many things: weed; how everybody in the music biz is a pussy; Eric Clapton; buying “Playgirl,” but not being gay, and (duh) his new — and rather awesome — album, Continuum. Most important, the singer provides an illuminating set of rules for all the aspiring Mayer girlfriends out there, whoever they may be. In his own words: 1. “Be really careful with me on the phone. Distance makes the brain grow more maniacal.” 2. “Twenty-four-hour phone-sex assistance. If there’s a cute girl in the front row, I’m gonna run offstage and call you.” 3. “You have to run every single fantasy you’ve ever had through me. You’ll never cheat. You see a cute guy at the gym, I’ll be him. Or we’ll get him. I don’t care.” Since rumor has it Mayer and Ms. Simpson are already over, we’re kinda wondering which tenet of the Tao of John she violated. Guesses?

I went to see John in Chicago last Saturday night and it was great! He's very talented on the guitar. His solo on Gravity was insanely awesome. I think he did five songs from Continuum and my favorite was Vultures. I was kinda surprised he didn't do Your Body is a Wonderland, but aside from that, he did all his hits and a few more songs.
Sheryl came on before him and she was great too. She brought John out to play guitar/sing backing vocals on My Favorite Mistake, which was a nice treat for me since that's my favorite Sheryl song.
I think Matt Kearney opened for them but we missed him since we got there as Sherly was into her second song.

This has been getting pretty good reviews. As far as I know, he gets a B- from Entertainment Weekly, a 4 from rollingstones, and a 4.5 from allmusic.

I heard Slow Dancing In A Burning Room the other day and I can't wait to buy the album later today! I love John and want to see him live but I hate Sheryl Crow so that's not happening.

I had never heard the song before the show, but I knew it was John and that he had a song called "Gravity" lol. It sounded REALLY good. I had his album downloaded for the last few days, but I'm just now listening to it. I can't wait to pick it up in the next few days.

I haven't had a chance to listen to this. Anybody came to comment on how it compares to his previous two outings?
