Since ITR sold what? 36,000 in it's first week? I think it's safe to say that Insomniatic will open with around 50k - 65k. Ha!... This album will do better than that. It will outsell "Dignity". I think "Dignity" opened at well over 100K. This album may not open that high, but it will still outsell "Dignity". This album is going to surprise a lot of people. |

I think "Dignity" opened at well over 100K. This album may not open that high, but it will still outsell "Dignity". This album is going to surprise a lot of people. Dont go too far...it wont outsell Dignity...Hilary opened with a strong 142,000+ copies first week, and got to 200,000+ the following 2 weeks. Aly & AJ arent that big, and they arent leading their album off with great promo, nor a strong single like Hilary Duff had...and considering that, the only people likely to buy the album is their installed fanbase, plus a couple new fans here and their... Most likely it'll sell around 60-75K first week...and theirs a SMALL chance they will sell 100K+, BUT since the ONLY person signed with Hollywood Records that sells 100-200K+ first week is HILARY DUFF, I highly doubt it. But its not out of the question as of yet. But like "xluvxduffxmusicx" said, dont set yourself up for dissapointment thinking this will sell as well as Dignity has, considering they are not as big of pop stars, nor actresses, nor overall celebs as Hilary Duff is, and we all know that. Also, at the rate that "Dignity" is selling, Aly & AJ would have to sell ALOT in the long run WORLDWIDE to even scratch Dignitys sales at this point..."Dignity" has a steady climb up the charts and its sales keep increasing over the weeks not to mention Hilary Duff has a MUCH older and larger fanbase than A&A, so I dont know about them selling as fast or as much as Dignity has or will. |

lol he's just obsessed with her and likes to bring up fabricated sstatistics that make sound like she is doing better than she really is as though she's some kind of legend just because she is the "best artist at Hollywood Records" as though she's some kind of untouchable LMAO.
He basically tries to play the card that he wants Aly & AJ to do well but there is no way they will sell as much as his dear, legendary Hilary Duff.

Actually believe it or not (well I dont really care) his "fabricated" estimates are right. Anyway, I think people should just leave Hilary in her thread & Aly & AJ in theirs. But I also think some people in this thread should stop trying to start fights. Obviously Hilary fans will say something if you're saying "OMGZZZZZ ALY & AJ WILL BE THE BEST SELLING GROUP EVA!!!11!!!!1! & BEAT HILARY BY A LOT!" Just like anybody would get defensive over their artist that they worship. If someone was comparing Aly & AJ to Lindsay Lohan, then we'd probably see a Lindsay fan coming in here & start bringing up all her accomplishments. |

Anyway these are Hits predictions: Hollywood Records’ sister act Aly and AJ have grown up on Insomniac, their new album which spotlights their rock pedigree, with songs featured in Super Sweet 16: The Movie, currently airing on MTV. That album is on target to sell between 40-45k. |

well i never really liked aly and aj but after i heard pbs i love her music. i bought her new album without listening to the songs and i am glad i did they r great.

I bought this for my daughter tonight! I swear I seem to really be supporting the disney music franchise through my daughter's musical tastes LOL I listened to a couple of songs, Potential Breakup Song and Chemicals React... Both are really very good. I think I'll take the CD to work tomorrow and listen to it all the way through.
I think Aly and AJ are mad talented! I noted that they wrote on almost every song on the CD! That always impresses me for some reason!
They are coming on concert in August, I think I'm gonna take my daughter to see them...

Aly & AJ were pimped during Phil of the Future. That is how Disney works, they found a successful way to put these teen stars out there and make the $$$. Im not saying shes a legend because shes the best person on Hollywood...I was just giving a reality check to someone on the thread so he wasnt too dissapointed about the debut sales of Insomniatic...Im not playing any card, I do want them to do well, but there really is just no way that this record will sell like Dignity is in the USA or worldwide. Hannah Montana albums are soundtracks, not actual solo albums...Mileys album was bundled with a soundtrack, so its included in the same category as a soundtrack. Plus, Walt Disney Records co-releases these HM cd's so Hollywood only released the "Meet Miley Cyrus" portion, but WDR gets the bulk of the cash...Miley has yet to release an album. Hilary still is highest selling. |

If so, I haven't noticed (because I don't usually watch Disney channel). MTV is pimping Aly & AJ, and this CD. I see the commercial on MTV all the time, and MTV is promoting the Sweet 16 movie, which has both these galz in it, so they are getting some good promo. I listened to their single a couple times, and I sort of like it, despite how much i don't want to. |
