I'm suprised Finger Eleven hasn't been mentioned here yet. Ah, yes...the song that is proving to be a detriment to other BETTER rock songs becoming hits at all! This needs to DIE...NOW. >:(

( ;) = good-natured ribbing ) Okay, I thought about what I did and I'll just let a go. I've deleted the post. I guess I was having a stressed out night and shouldn't have taken it all seriously. I am working on this about myself. My new thing is all about striving to be a better person and to not sweat the small stuff. I knew he meant well. I guess I was frustrated about some other things going on and I took it out on him. My apologies.

19 EMINEM Just Lose It 3331 0 3331 Wonder if he'll break the record for highest Top 40 debut? As I recall, that is currently held by a Jon Secada song (I forget which one) and Madonna's "Frozen", correct? (And I'm not counting anything from AT40, so don't throw those in. ) I am surprised at DC's inability to pass Kelly Clarkson (who is up to +718 now). You go girl!

As I recall, that is currently held by a Jon Secada song (I forget which one) and Madonna's "Frozen", correct? Jon Secada's Just Another Day If You Go holds the record for highest pop chart debut (i.e., top 50 debut) at #15. Frozen also made a top 40 debut at #15, but it was in the 40s the week before. So yes, Eminem has a chance to break that record. I would just like to know WHY are stations jumping on this song so fast? I mean, it's not from a super popular movie or necessarily from an artist we haven't heard in forever (hello, Eminem f/ D12 was just on), & the song is not exactly super excellent IMO. What a disappointing record breaker... Meanwhile, anyone take notice of the closing gap between Avril & Maroon 5. It looks like Avril can snag #1 by this Sunday at this rate.

wow! I never expected Avril's bullet to pick up. I guess radio stations realized that she's the next best shot at #1 for a while.

Jon Secada's Just Another Day If You Go holds the record for highest pop chart debut (i.e., top 50 debut) at #15. His was not a Top 50 debut - his entry came before the chart became a Top 50.

Eminem only needs about 200 spins per day for the next 3 days to land at #14 this week. A total of 3932 would pass Houston, Linkin Park, and Christina Milian, and it's unlikely Bowling For Soup would gain 161 spins in 3 days when its weekly trend is only +211.

Im surprised Destiny's Child is stalling at #9 behind Kelly Clarkson also...its been that way since last Sunday, they can't pass her
I hope Ciara gets in the Top 5 before the final update
OK HOW did Finger Eleven go from like #17 and a bullet of like 100 to #11 and a bullet of 400?? :o Can you say payola?
Nelly and Tim McGraw are already in the Top 50 with a bullet of over 600! Wow
Looks like Akon will get a Top 40 hit but that's about it...still good though...
Is Trick Daddy dying out already, or is this just the calm before Pop really picks up on the song? I heard it on WKSE for the first time yesterday.
lol @ Eminem's bullet...there really is no reaction, except to laugh! Shock would be nothing out of the ordinary
Is it possible for Eminem to be in the Top 10 before Sunday's final update?

Eminem has already passed Matt's posted total of 3932 - he's at 3998 currently. He's also currently #14, which means R.I.P. Jon Secada's/Madonna's record.

Urgh, why are we having all of these monster songs hitting pop radio in like 4 weeks time? Can't we spread them out people? This reminds me of 1999 when we had I Want It That Way, Livin' La Vida Loca, Wild Wild West, Sometims, and All Star all come out only weeks apart and storm onto the pop chart. It really hurts other songs IMO.

Avril within 90 spins of Maroon 5, and her bullet went up! Could she get #1 before the final update?
If she can't. . . she will by Tuesday, for Billboard #'s and next Sunday.

I'm really happy to see justice being served for all the crap that hits the Top 10 like Houston and Ciara. "Breakaway" is easily Kelly Clarkson's best single and I never would have thought it would be in the Top 10 with such a huge bullet.

Very impressed with Britney and Kelly. These songs aren't getting hype/promotion such as Lose My Breath and Just Lose It. They have a strong bullet almost at +900. Could Kelly go to number 1? I don't think so. I say top 5. I say Britney goes top 10, but falls pretty quick. As for DC and Eminem, not too sure. DC's bullet has plummeted the past few days and Eminem's song is hype. I say DC stalls at number 7, then falls. I say Eminem stalls in the top 10, then falls like a brick.

Wow, Eminem seems to stall at around 80 million. Yesterday he was at 82 million, now it's "only" 80 million...
DC seem to regain a little bit, hopefully the song won't stop gaining spins now.

In other news, pop stations do love their Kelly don't they.
