Next week we'll pass Norah, hopefully. Yayyyy!! That'll be nice. I'm more concerned with the Billboard year though. I really want them to get that award. *crosses fingers*

He's looking hotter and hotter, lol. The Memphis crowd was huge! :o Nice, looks like we won't have to wait long for the second album. It'll be out probably late 08 or early 09. I hope the Rob Thomas and Brad Arnold songs make the cut, I love those two songs. Anyway, Home is #9 now!

DAUGHTRY SHOW DRAWS 40,000 FANS BY DENISE NEIL AND JILLIAN COHAN The Wichita Eagle
PARADE, CONCERT KICK OFF WEEK
Finally, a formula to get big crowds of people downtown. Get a top-selling rock act. Put it on an outdoor stage after a parade and before a fireworks show. Admit anyone wearing a $5 button.
The Wichita River Festival opened Friday with a post-Sundown Parade concert by rock band Daughtry that drew an estimated 40,000 people.
They spilled out of the fenced-off area in front of the stage, packing areas as far away as the First Street Bridge.
Lead singer Chris Daughtry, whose stint on last year's "American Idol" earned him legions of fans, took the stage wearing a gray skullcap and T-shirt. He immediately launched into the song "Crashed" from the band's chart-topping album, "Daughtry."
Even he seemed surprised by the size of the crowd.
"We just have one album out, and this is like Beatles-style," he said. "This is weird."
The 50-minute set continued with other favorites, including "Used To," "Gone," and Daughtry's big radio hit, "It's Not Over."
Toward the end of the show, Chris Daughtry dedicated the song "Home" to the victims of last week's Greensburg tornado.
"I'd like to dedicate this song to all the families in Kansas who lost their homes to tragedy," he said. "Tonight, you're our family."
Among the most enthusiastic in the crowd was Audrey Mater, 26, who is not a casual fan.
She spent her time pre-concert searching in vain for Daughtry's tent. Her cell phone ring tone is the band's song, "Used To." And Chris Daughtry's picture occupies her home screen.
"I'm not a crazy person," she said with a laugh.
More noncasual fans were front-row occupants Michelle Sweeney and Becky Van Der Hoff, who arrived at noon and said they were the first people camping out for seats.
Sweeney took a half day's vacation from work to be sure she got a good view. She's been a fan of Daughtry's since his stint on "American Idol."
"I voted for him all season," she said.
Earlier in the evening, a more sedate crowd gathered downtown along Main and Douglas streetsfor the annual Sundown Parade, which festival organizers estimate attracted 75,000 people.
Nearby, an orange flag flew on the Douglas Avenue Bridge. Earlier on Friday, city officials became concerned about the river's high water levels and strong current and posted an orange hazard flag, indicating the river is unsafe for recreational use.
All water-related activities had already been postponed.
The parade included its usual odd assortment of marching bands, kids' dance squads and big balloons.
All along the route, military-themed entries earned big applause.
The Army was the first to pass by, and the crowd gathered at Douglas and Main stood and clapped until the soldiers had passed.
Daryl Donaldson, who served in the first Gulf War, stood at attention each time a military unit went by.
"They've worked really hard to do what they do," Donaldson said. "There's been a lot of loss."
The festival continues today with the Art & Book fair and an evening concert by John Kay & Steppenwolf and The Guess Who.

I'm amazed and happy at the leap that Home has made since last Wednesday. And it's great that Daughtry's album continues to sell at such a consistent rate. :)

I don't see it on DO either. My guess is to check the venue's site on another day or something.

The one in Columbia, Maryland! It's at Merriweather Post Pavillion. That'd be awesome if you could find something out on it.

Try checking the Nickelback Public Fan Community. This is where I got my tickets pre-sales. You don't have to pay like their Fan Club, you just need to register your email. I'll check every now and then on Daughtry Official too. ;) Sigh, I wish Daughtry would have their official Fan Club soon. Getting tickets is crazy! :( Damn, that is hot! :o HBAM is one of my all time favorite songs!
