They're getting married.....LMFAO!!! PUKE!! LOL no they are not. I personally think that would be great someday though, why not? anyway- I was just passing along the info. I won't post it on carrie forums because it is ugly there. People are really going crazy about this topic for some reason- they are either rabid romowood fanatics, or rabid tony haters who refuse to believe carrie could ever date someone. They want her to live in a bubble forever, never dating, never aging, never getting married, etc. Some of those people truly scare me...LOL yea... both camps scare me... you wont believe the PMs i get from the rabid romowood fanatics lmao... maybe i should post them here for everyone to get a good laugh!

I'm not sure why we are even talking about Tony/Mark Oakly/Cherie in this forum. There's already enough gossip floating around elsewhere. I've had my share of Romowood already..

for sure, unless someone else gets added to that date... it's pretty far away to know for sure right now.
I'm not sure why people talk about their personal lives at all. It's THEIR life and should remain their business.
it's their job to sing and put on a good concert.... who they date or don't date shouldn't be a factor IMO... and why are people "fans" of couples in the first place...that's just weird LOL..

Well, here's another take on BHC, alongside "U & Ur Hand" and "Girlfriend," this time from the august New York Times: "The New Lone Rangers" -- an Op/Ed piece by David Brooks: Also, Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance and Brad Delson of Linkin Park did an interview with Seattle's KISS 106.1 recently in which Way mentions meeting Carrie. You can listen to the podcast here. The interview starts off with the Carrie mention -- evidently, she attended a MCR concert when the band hit Nashville, and he thought it was cool that a big country star came to a rock concert. Way says that she's really nice.

Thanks Dudly for the info, I'll go take a listen to the podcast now. Also, didn't realize how long BHC has been on the charts. Will be sad to see it go. Rihanna holds sway over stagnant top 10blogs.usatoday.com/listenup/2007/07/rihanna-holds-s.html?csp=3410-10 Carrie Underwood/Before He Cheats (-2.6%): After 45 weeks on the chart, it's finally dropping, and should fall out of the top 10 next week.

Just listened to the podcast, that was great that Gerard thought that was cool of Carrie to visit them in Nashville to watch them play. I believe she has always stated that that is one of the bands she regularly listens to.

Yeah that doesn't really surprise me...for being all country Carrie seems to like alternative rock and even has MCR Welcome to the Black Parade on her itunes list and a pretty good write up on it. I think Carrie's a rocker girl at heart but she lacks the confidence in herself to venture into the unknown world of pop/rock. Country is pretty safe...they seem pretty accepting of everybody, hence all the success other idols have had right out of the gate. But then it could be argued that Carrie opened the door for that but I'd go on a limb and say it would've happened even without Carrie just based on how well Josh Gracin did even before Carrie. There seems to be no stigma in country coming off Idol...unlike in pop... who seem to care more about image and credibility or whatnot.

Lacking confidence? Have you seen her performances of "Sweet Child of Mine" or I'll Remember You?" I'd say she's definitely NOT lacking confidence and I think she could and would venture to pop/rock but Country is were her heart is. She's not like some people who can't decide where they belong... Are you saying Carrie has no credibility?

^ I don't think that's she means Carrie. I'd say that Kellie and Bucky definitely lack the credibility, so it surprises me that country fans have embraced them. I never would have expected that.
I'd suggest that Carrie doesn't have the confidence to take pop/rock songs, like SCOM and IRY, and make them her own. If she could, I'd love to see her find her own style for performing those songs to showcase some versatility. But since you agree that country is where her heart is, I doubt we'll see that for a few at least one more album.

USAToday.com:
26-22 Carrie (26,000; 5.75 million total): Drops 11%, slowing her relentless pursuit of Kelly's Breakaway, which it trails by about 46,000 now.

if country is where her heart is why does she do covers of decidedly NON country songs in concert? Why not do fan favorite country standards? IMO Carrie lacked the confidence in herself to pursue her dream of being an artist to begin with hence going to college for something OTHER than music. You would think someone with a voice like hers' would rabidly pursue a career in music. She didn't. She gave up, hell I'm not even sure she ever really tried other than doing gigs at county festivals and such. She says she owes her entire career to Idol, that tells me she lacks confidence in her talent. IF she truly believed in her talent she would recognize that Idol merely gave her the platform in which to showcase her talent and that her talent did the rest.
you read what I said the way you wanted, as a slam against Carrie. I meant that in pop music coming off a reality show automatically hurt the artists' credibility, unlike Country where artists like Josh Gracin, Carrie, Kellie, and Bucky are just seen as artists who took another avenue into the business. No one questions their artistic integrity because of their beginnings.
you mean she's not like some people who are so versatile and confident in their abilities that they refuse to be pushed into a box and forced to stay there. SOME artists believe that they should make the music that speaks to them on each project, regardless of whether that's pure pop, pop/rock, singer songwriter, country/blues, whatever. They follow their muse to wherever it leads them. Those are the artists I want to follow.
I like cookie cutter, but only when I'm making cookies, not when I'm picking my music.

I believe, and somebody correct me if I'm wrong, that Carrie had a deal at Capitol records when she was 13 or 14 but it fell through because of a change in management. So YES she did do other things besides fairs and such. I believe she had even opened up for Montgomery Gentry at one of those 'Fairs."
She does believe that it was a platform but she still PROBABLY wouldn't be were she is now without AI. She can't be thankful to them without looking like she has no confidence? How ridiculous....
How do you know what Carrie is thinking? Are you secretly in the studio with her or something? Carrie is writing on this album, quite a bit actually, so maybe she is making music that speaks to her. You can still be versatile and confident without going against everybody...

Yet you once again come in here acting like you need to defend Kelly Clarkson. She's a big girl and can take care of herself.

I like cookie cutter, but only when I'm making cookies, not when I'm picking my music. respectfully disagree....Carrie worked hard for YEARS trying to make it in music, going to county fairs, festivals, talent shows, singing the national anthem at softball games, singing at church,etc- trying to get discovered. She was supposed to get a record deal through capitol records I believe, at age 14, like leanne rimes- but her agent botched the deal and it fell through. So after years and years of trying to make it- she also pursued a college degree to get a real job, and was about to give up on music when she was convinced to try out for american idol. So she paid her dues- as much as anyone else did. thank you. She also has the talent and diversity to sing any type of song, anywhere, any time, and make it her own. She proved that time and time again.....

Ah too funny to see people talk about Carrie having or not having credibility or confidence. Guess not all will do "anything" to be in the music business. She is an intelligent girl who sang because she loved it but pursued a college education becuase it means so much to her and her family. Has nothing to do with lack of confidence in singing. I'd say she could sing any genre she wants, as she is proving in concert. But country is her main love and focus. Why not stay where she loves it. Interesting that some artists venture into many directions and people rave about it but use it against other artists for doing the same thing. And also the opposite, some are hailed for being "true" when they stay with main love while others are treated like they aren't any good and therefore can't do anything else. Double standards sure are interesting.

where did I mention Kelly? I didn't... she has nothing to do with Carrie... I want Carrie to branch out and do music that CLEARLY she loves... which is more ROCK sounding... I'm simply saying I FEEL she lacks the confidence to take a step she's unsure of. She's not willing to risk her current status as a top artist in country even if she MAY want to try that type of music...so she dabbles during concerts, getting her "fix" so to speak but never "really" exploring that side of her musical blood. and fisch, try to keep comments from Kelly's thread in her thread...mmmmK... where's the mod when you need em? again reading comprehension is a good thing. I NEVER said Carrie lacked credibility, quite the opposite in fact. Carrie HAD credibility immediately coming off Idol because country [glow=red,2,300]UNLIKE[/glow] pop didn't view her as a manufactured piece of crap. Carrie didn't have to work her butt off to prove herself... they just accepted her at face value based ON HER TALENT...that was enough for them... christ on a cracker... I'm confused as to why you carrie fans can troll all over this forum offering your opinions and it's fine... but you go into guard dog attack mode when someone comes here and does the same thing.... I also wonder why the MOD in this forum hasn't stepped in yet... oh wait no I don't... >:(
