yeah I am not sure how this works: how and when was JTTW first debuted? Was there a big fan fare? I cannot remember.
ok don't shoot me if this is wrong- but dalejarretfan at carriefans.com just posted that he thinks he heard a leak of the new single on his radio station in NC. He wasnt sure of the station name- but is positive it was carrie singing, and that the song had "I was gonna love you" in it a lot- so he thinks it is the song she cowrote on our list of possible tracks, "I was gonna love you."
He said it was wonderful- better then jttw. People attacked him from all sides thinking he was wrong or made it up- but he was adament about it.
guys- how can we verify this: yes.com???

Perhaps, looks like a task for everyone to dig up info on this...do we know what station in NC?

I don't think people were attacking him they just couldn't understand what he was talking about...at least I couldn't... I really hope this is true...I'm dying for new stuff!!

Well, I'll play wet blanket for the moment...
I read dalejarrett fan's posts on the subject at carriefans, and they have all the hallmarks of a false alarm. He didn't say "I Was Gonna Love You" until the title was suggested to him (he said something about a "you can't make me love you" lyric). He thinks the song was neither slow nor fast, but maybe more slow than fast. Um....OK. He can't identify the radio station, either.
That doesn't sound remotely credible to me. Plus, I have a hard time imagining that just one station would have Carrie's single, and that it wouldn't have crowed about it 'til the cows came home (to mix metaphors, badly). I would think, similar to what vinman said above, that the radio debut of Carrie's new single would be a major event, across multiple country radio stations. I guess I could imagine a one night test spin or something, but I wonder if that would even be considered for something as anticipated as Carrie's next single.
Wouldn't mind if I were off-base, though.
As for Carrie on Lon Helton's show, I'm going to hope for a lead single title at least. I don't expect the song itself to debut.

dudley- you are probably right...but I too would love it if you were wrong...LOL I guess if a song title were at least released- I would feel better too. I highly doubt it is Show me, as wikipedia suggested... It makes more sense that the single is one of the song titles people here found on the BMI sites...as it seems logical that the song would be registered there by now, right? Show me is not registered anywhere under carrie's name yet...

FYI, that poster never makes any sense in his posts, and neither in the PMs i get from him. as you guys said, i would also expect this to be a major promotional event by arista nashville also, to lighten the mood a bit... i love this pic of carrie and keith anderson. maybe this was after she got tackled? lol. what a pair of eyes... shes quite the actress eh?

Looks like reviews are starting to come in from Friday's performance. www.canada.com/theprovince/news/pstory.html?id=2b2dbff1-dd46-41e9-bbcc-14647ff1fdea&k=10305Idol winner lives up to billing as Underwood rocks Merritt<Snip> Carrie Underwood's seven-piece band played a few vamping bars before the only American Idol country winner sauntered out with no intro and launched into "We're Young and Beautiful," an apt enough description of the 24-year-old singer. She had a lot of fans in the swelling audience of some 13,000. In blonde ringlets and dressed in a white polka-dot dress and black tights, she rolled out the hits like "Wasted" and her take on the Pretenders' "I'll Stand By You, that we last saw her perform on American Idol Gives Back. None too animated, she nevertheless had every female in the crowd singing along lustily to her tongue in cheek, guy-bashing "Before He Cheats". <Snip>

She and Keith are so cute in that pic, but I think I like this one better. And he's a fellow Okie! I love his music also and hope for a duet from them one day! ETA: I just realized in that pic you posted Jeff, that Keith has HUGE hands. His hand looks bigger than Carrie's head LOL.

that makes it sound like she's still a very wooden (no pun intended) performer.

Everyone, please ignore the obvious bait.
Anyway, those pictures are cute.
This era has been incredible. Can't wait for the new single which we should be hearing soon.

I love how carrie looked at the softball game- so cute, wearing very little makeup if any- she is a natural beauty.
Whoever said keith's hands are as big as carrie's head- so funny- and true!! :)
vinman thanx for the great picture and review from Canada....Carrie is always funny live..and boy can she sing!
I wonder if any canadian carrie fans on CF or the fanclub will post a review? dying for more info..
This concert was pretty far north, right? Vancouver is ski country isn't it?

Brian from the FC has posted his review/M&G pic from Canada. He had a funny story about Carrie's guitar player wiping out and having to leave during the IAICA song. "The strangest of funniest part of the whole show was the last song she sang "Aint in Checotah Amymore"..Where in the last half of the song for some reason her guitar player whiped out and fell to the ground. He even walked off the stage for a couple minutes. Carrie was on the other side of the stage and had no clue.Infact she was probably told about it after the show.lol. Just the rest of the band were looking at him and laughing and sort of wondering what was going on, especially Nikki.."

Funny story. Reminds me when the fiddle player slipped and fell but Carrie did see that. And that was caught on film too. I don't believe I'd ever be able to get back on stage again.

Will Carrie reach 6 million albums sold by the time it's finished?

In other news, I let my older brother borrow my Carrie Underwood CD. And we're not talking right now. So I doubt I'll ever get it back. =[

Will Carrie reach 6 million albums sold by the time it's finished? It seems like it would be difficult for her not to. This baby will have some longevity still and she is already less than 300K away.

I didn't realize earlier that Brian had also posted a couple of vids on the Merritt Mountain concert. They can be found on his photobucket account under the VIDEO tab as well as some pics!

thanx vinman!!!
Carrie May Tour in Australia Soon!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An Australian fan at carrie fans just posted that the Sydney Australia newspaper (not a tabloid- a real paper) listed a blurb about Carrie in the music section of the paper, that her label is working overtime to secure a promotional tour down under in the near future, before she gets too busy promoting the album in the US!!!!
so carrie may finally get to tour down under- yeah!!
hope she also fits in a few UK dates....
