CLICK BANNER TO HEAR NEW SONGS. Bad Brains will release their new studio album on Megaforce Records. The new album is now finished and being mastered in NYC and will be released worldwide this June 26, 2007. Adam Yauch (MCA of the Beastie Boys) produced Build A Nation and it represents the first recording, aside from Beastie Boys' recordings, from the Beastie Boys' Oscilloscope laboratories and studio. The Bad Brains recently honored the legendary punk club CBGB's closing in late-2006 by performing three shows, which sold-out in record time. "The Brains are one of most powerful and unique bands in the world. They have been a huge influence on me, and it was an honor to work with them on this record," comments Adam Yauch. Considered by some to be the "holy grail" of punk rock, the Bad Brains iconic legacy is best defined by their frenetic and legendary live shows. The Bad Brains are one of the definitive American punk groups who garner the same respect as the Sex Pistols, Black Flag, The Clash, and the Ramones. The band brought a new dimension to music by melding punk and reggae into an innovative style that has yet-to-be copied. And with this forthcoming release, the band essentially return to their early roots with a raw, analog-driven chaos.

Billboard:
ARTIST: BAD BRAINS
ALBUM: BUILD A NATION (MEGAFORCE)
As one of the pioneering bands of the '80s hardcore scene, Bad Brains built their reputation on fusing angst-ridden punk with reggae. With their original lineup back in order and Beastie Boy Adam Yauch in the producer's chair, the group gives it a go again after a long studio hiatus on "Build a Nation." Singer H.R.'s off-kilter vocal track on "Give Thanks and Praises" is paired with Dr. Know's raw, thrashing riffs, and there's a sense of brewing urgency that explodes all over songs such as the 56-second "Pure Love" and the raucous "Send You No More Flowers." Alongside the aggression and fury are chilled-out dubs, with H.R. touting peace on "Natty Dreadlocks 'Pon the Mountaintop" and "Peace Be Unto Thee."
