As usual, the October 2nd chart that's posted on the website is not what was heard on the show. Korn was not #33, it was played as an extra in place of Usher, and Rick said as much afterwards. Also, Britney was not #37, but rather the Sure Shot. JoJo's new song debuted at #37.
Also of note, John Mayer's new song was played as an extra after #39. Nothing was omitted to make room for it.

hey thanks so much. we here in new zealand used to get the weekly top 40 chart, but now we get the top 30 of the billboard adult top 40 chart, so its hard to know if any of these 'mistakes' are made on his website, which i still cant get into for some reason. i have a couple of other gaps in my charts, im pretty sure there was no chart for them. they seem to be at the start of each month as well. the weeks with july 11 and august 8 are the ones missing. any help is greatly appreciated, and if u want any charts from mid-2001 on, i'll help ya out

Casey used to play 40 + 3(LDD)on AT40 so there should be room for a couple more songs. Rick talks and clowns around a bit too much.

Rick talks and clowns around a bit too much. If he would just not do that during the year end shows, he wouldn't have to skip over so many songs! Especially since his jokes aren't anything he hasn't done about umpteen times already.
