Joyce Drake: The Comeback Begins
July 8, 2007
After what seemed like unlimited chart dominance with her mulit-week #1 hit "U + Ur Bible," Joyce Drake's latest single "Never Again (will I sin)" has failed miserably on the pop charts, sinking the pop/gospel superstar to an all time low, in both her personal and professional life. After allegedly shaving her head, missing church two Sundays in a row, and beating off the paparazzi with an axe, Joyce checked herself into a Kansas rehab facility last week. However, after only one day in the facility, Joyce claimed to be healed by an act of God, and by her actions lately, it appears to be true. Joyce has hit the hair salon for some extensions, hit the gym for a hot new body, and hit the studio for some music magic. After working with producers such as Dr. Luke, Pharrel, T-Pain, and Ne-Yo, insiders say the album is ready. The album was recorded in only fourty-five minutes. Apparently this was urged by Joyce herself, who wished to record an album faster than Beyonce. The album features such collaborators as Madonna, Shania Twain, Avril Lavigne, Diddy, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Lil' Jon, Busta Ryhmes, and even Jesus himself. The first single, Buy U a Bible (feat. Diddy and Avril Lavigne) is set to go for adds immediately, with an album release set for early August. Look for Joyce in numerous TV and radio appearnces in the next few days, such as Good Morning America, The Tonight Show, 60 Minutes, Inside Edition, Larry King Live, Regis and Kelly, The View, a guest spot on Hannah Montana, TRL, and a four hour primetime special on ABC. Look out America, Joyce has returned.
