Why post in this section???

No one even cares about indie groups if they are members of this board so I may as well post my topic in the Rock section instead of indie rock. ???

I usually don't care either but I would like to get people to check out some music from an indie band called Soma City Ward. I work with the lead singer at a restaurant in Vancouver. I've seen them twice and they are actually quite good. I'm sure some people who like rock music would like their music.

yeah, this board has been used the wrong way. Vitamin C and Frankee are not indie rock.

Well, it reads independent acts. So if an artist records for a label which is not a major or self-releases, it could even be a polka act. ;)

Actually, 95% of my musical tastes fall under the umbrella term "indie rock". I actually hate radio, but I follow the charts because it's interesting/funny/depressing to observe the trends.

But, generally speaking, it's true that this board doesn't give a rat's ass about indie acts.
