Madonna Chronicling 'Confessions' With CD/DVD Set December 29, 2006, 11:00 AM ET Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.
The Wembley Arena stop on Madonna's box-office busting Confessions tour will be released as part of a CD/DVD set Jan. 30 via Warner Bros. Portions of the DVD were originally broadcast during an NBC special over Thanksgiving.

So there's no hope for the gorgeous "Live To Tell" on the CD? I still can't imagine "Confessions" stopping right before she comes back... ???

She should release a new video from the DVD. It could be "Forbidden Love" or "I Love New York" or even "Hung Up" like she did with the "Drowned World Tour" DVD and the "Holiday" video.

In 3 weeks we will no what the prediction is on sales.
I'm not expecting anything major, but with usualy January sales being low, I think to top 20 is guaranteed, with a possible top 10!~

danny, the Confessions Tour grossed almost $195 million. That other figure is an error.
If the CD/DVD sells as much as IGTTYAS, that sure as heck won't be a top 10 debut. However, this one contains a concert, whereas IGGTYAS featured a documentary- so, the concert *could be* more attractive a feature than the documentary. We'll see.

Last year around this time the #10 album sold about 45,000 copies...so anything is possible. Like you said, you would think that more fans would be interested in this, than the last release and this appeals more to nonfans, then IGTTYAS.

That's cool! Did Madge mention the release of the CD/DVD during any of her TV appearances today? If she did, maybe that could be the reason for the sudden increase. If she didn't mention it, that's still good.

You..the top album on BB 200...did only 65,000 ....and i really dont see it picking up anytime soon...are there any major releases in the next few weeks??...Top 10 is looking more like a sure bet with her being on T.V a lot and with Warner releaseing a press statment about it...i think 50k is a lock.

According to HITS, the sales for most of the other releases will be lower than even this week. And there are not that many huge releases in January. That Katherine McPhee from American Idol is the only really major artist with an album coming out on January 30. That one will probably open at number 1 or 2. Madonna could probably crack top 10 or 20.
